As you all know, I'm not able to fully operate the bakery like I use too and man do I miss it! But that hasn't kept me down!

Many of you know that I'm a party planner extraordinaire if you ever been to one of my Christmas Parties or the kids birthday parties. Long ago I use to work in caterering and in the back side of weddings, so it was just natural to step to the front side of the event planning!

With that being said, if been working on separating away from the bakery as it doesn't "scream" Event Planner.

Cake for my dear friend Devon McAnally for her birthday!

It made an hour plus ride up to Reading, PA so I guess I'll take the little mess up there at the bottom 🥹

We did a four layer cake, with vanilla and strawberry layers, with fresh strawberries in the center!

This weekend I had the honor of coordinating a fabulous wedding at The Manison House, down at the Maryland Zoo!

I could not have asked for a better couple to work with over the past few months! This wedding was so much fun, so upbeat and colorful! Molissa and Yong were a blast to work with!

Congratulations to my newlyweds! I cannot wait to share more pictures of this wedding!

My view looked a little different this weekend!

While I still do the bakery a little here and there on the side, I've been working on something new that's still close to my heart....Weddings!

This weekend I coordinated a beautiful wedding at Top of The Bay at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, for a lovely couple!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of donating 10 dozen cookies to the local Night to Shine event held at Pleasant View Bapist Church, in Port Deposit!

This is an event that's held nation wide to the special needs community, for a Prom Night! They get to get all glammed up, limo rides, walks down the red carpet, dance with a DJ and so much more!

I can't wait to show you all pictures of what a special night it is!

Ellie turn 1 on the 23rd and we celebrated her birthday yesterday! Time really does go by so fast!

Late Post BUT - I made these adorable Holiday Baskets for friends and family and they were hit!

They included a loaf of my Artisan Bread, Pumpkin Streusel Bread, along with 4 different compound butters; Honey Cinnamon, Orange Honey, Garlic & Herb and Cowboy Butter! I even included a cute chart of the many different way to use all the butter.

There were also some hand towels and adorable little Christmas decor as well!

These would make the perfect House Warming gift, hostess gift or even just because gift for anyone!

Starting the new year off with this cute little 6" cake for a dear customer of mine for her birthday, which is today! So please wish Mrs. Sally Henry Montgomery a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

A yummy vanilla cake, with a strawberry center and classic American Buttercream!

My cakes still need work, as they are not my forte, but glad to have customers that give me the opportunity to practice my skills!

A few weeks ago we ran into Bill and his wife and had some of the BEST BBQ and fried green tomatoes since we moved up here from Carolina! Not only was their BBQ amazing but they were just good people. We spent some time just talking with him at First Friday in Oxford.

I heard he was making a trip to Carolina to help out the victims of Helene with his food truck and I knew I wanted to help! So of course I put the kitchen to work!

I was able to lunch out about 10 dozen cookies to send down with him to pass out! Chocolate helps to make everything a little better right?

So, I've been on a little bit of a "homesteading" journey since we moved.

Trying to become more self sufficient. The other day I took my left over veggies scraps and made the MOST delicious veggies broth known to man.

It was also practically FREE! All because I used stuffed that you would normally throw away!

So - maybe while the bakery is just "donations" based and not where I want it to be. Yall can come on this homesteading journey with me, while we learn to make it from scrap and feed our family better!
