If you’ve been following me for a while, you might remember when my mom, a small business owner, got completely burned by Painted Tree Boutiques last fall. After months of not being paid what she was owed, she made the tough call to pull her inventory and walk away.

With today’s news that all Painted Tree locations are closing effective immediately, her exact words were, “sounds like I dodged a bullet.”

My heart is with all the small business owners impacted by this. I know how much time, money, and effort goes into owning a business and this simply just isn’t fair.

I’m a recently retired, active, and caring 63-year-old Senior Companion of the Northland ce with Painted Tree didn’t work out as planned, I’ve decided to begin a new chapter—one that I feel deeply passionate about and truly fulfilled by.

I’m excited to share that I’m starting my own business offering personalized companion services to a limited number of clients in the Northland area.

I’ve always found spending time with seniors incredibly rewarding, and my goal is simple: to bring comfort, connection, and a little extra brightness to someone’s day.
