Macallan Rare Cask Black is one of the most unique releases in Macallan’s modern portfolio. While Macallan is famous for rich sherry-cask influence, Rare Cask Black adds something rarely associated with the distillery: smoke.

Crafted from fewer than 100 casks selected by Macallan’s Whisky Mastery Team, this expression combines the brand’s signature notes of dried fruits, dark chocolate, and spice with a subtle smoky character that pays homage to the style of whisky once produced at the distillery generations ago.

It’s not a peated whisky in the traditional Islay sense. Instead, the smoke is elegant, integrated, and designed to complement—not overpower—the rich sherry influence.

20 years. Two milestones. 🥃✨

Tonight, we’re celebrating my daughter’s 20th birthday, and it felt only right to mark the occasion by opening a 20-year-old whisky.

This beautiful pour is the Mortlach 20 Year Old—a whisky that has spent two decades developing character, complexity, and depth. Much like watching your child grow into the amazing person they become.

As whisky lovers, we often talk about patience, time, and the stories that unfold in a cask. As parents, we learn those same lessons watching our children grow.

Here’s to 20 incredible years of memories, laughter, lessons, and love. And here’s to all the adventures still to come.

From windswept shores on the Isle of Skye comes one of Scotland’s most unmistakable single malts — Talisker.

Known for its signature balance of maritime smoke, cracked black pepper, sea salt, and rich orchard fruit, Talisker has spent nearly 200 years defining what coastal Scotch can taste like. Every sip feels like the island itself — wild, rugged, and endlessly layered.
