Went to the pantry intending to bake bread, but ended up baking chocolate chip cookies instead!! Now, don’t get me wrong. We celebrate The Resurrection each Sunday, but today was extra special. My college girl was home and on the pew with us! Then we celebrated someone extra special’s birthday with fresh strawberry cake. Here’s hoping your Easter was extra special too!

How many of my bread friends are meal preppers? Breakfasts and lunches were prepped for the week during last night’s storms. I have a very pampered kitchen, and somehow meal prep day manages to use allllll the Pampered Chef tools. I’m lucky enough to have one grandma’s cast iron, and the other grandma’s Courier & Ives dishes. I use both almost every day. One grandma’s fudge pie recipe is a staple from my kitchen during the holidays. The other grandma made a chocolate meringue pie that would knock your socks off. I haven’t been able to master that one yet. What are some recipes you would love to have in someone special’s handwriting? Share them if you are lucky enough to have them!
