Well, Sassy Sourdough lovers… unfortunately, I experienced my first fraud attempt today.

Someone reached out wanting to place a cookie order, but the conversation quickly shifted to them asking for information that is absolutely not needed to complete a Venmo payment. That’s where the red flags started flying.

I’ll be honest—it left me with that awful “ick” feeling. As exciting as it has been to grow Sassy Sourdough and connect with so many wonderful people, protecting my family’s privacy and safety will always come first.

Because of this, I’m seriously considering making my page completely private and only accepting followers or orders from people I know personally or through trusted referrals.

To my amazing customers: thank you for supporting a small business built on trust, kindness, and community. The overwhelming majority of you have been nothing but wonderful, and I appreciate you more than you know.

A friendly reminder: I will never ask for unnecessary personal information, and I encourage everyone to stay cautious when buying or selling online. If something feels off, trust your instincts.

The sweet little girl in this picture is the reason Sassy Sourdough came to life. 🤍

When I became pregnant with her, I started paying a little more attention to the ingredients in the foods we were eating. Then came the toddler years (and the picky eating! 😂), and I found myself wanting to make homemade versions of the snacks so many kids grow up eating—using simpler ingredients and adding a little extra nutrition whenever I could.

I don’t just make sourdough loaves to sell. My goal has always been to create homemade versions of the foods we already love—bread, bagels, muffins, pizza dough, cookies, and so much more.

It all started because I wanted better options for my daughter. Along the way, I completely fell in love with the process, the creativity, and just how versatile sourdough can be.

Sassy Sourdough has never been about being perfect or following a fad. It’s about making foods I feel good about serving my own family and sharing them with yours.

Whether you enjoy it toasted with butter, made into French toast, or straight from the loaf, this seasonal favorite won’t last forever!

First, I want to thank you all for your continued support and apologize for my lack of posting lately. Life has been a little busy, but I’m excited to be back and taking orders again!

🗓 Order Day: Saturday, August 22
⏰ Ordering: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Delivery & Pickup:
🥖 If we work together, I’ll do my best to deliver your order to you at work on Monday evening.

🥖 If we don’t work together, pickup will be available on Tuesday, August 25 or Wednesday, August 26. You can meet me in Paradise or Chico. Once I know where everyone is located, I’ll choose a central pickup location and provide a pickup window.

How to Order:
📱 Send me a text or DM with your order.
💳 Payment can be made through Venmo or Zelle. If you need to pay with cash, just let me know when you place your order.

I’m officially accepting orders for Sassy Sourdough goodies!

This time I’m trying something a little different. Instead of taking individual requests, I’ll be batch making a few favorites and sharing exactly what’s available. Once you see something you want, just message me to claim yours and send payment to secure your order.

Here’s what I’ll be making this round:

🍞 4 plain

🌶️ 4 Jalapeño Cheddar Sourdough Loaves
(with or without bacon — your choice!)

🧄 3 Roasted Garlic Parmesan Sourdough Loaves

🍌 4 Sourdough Banana Bread Loaves

🍪 5 Dozen Total Sourdough Cookies
(available baked or as take and bake dough balls, in 1/2 doz or full dozen options)
