I get asked a lot about my starter and how hard it is to maintain and I’m here to tell you it’s not hard at all!! This is Doughy Parton- my starter that lives on my counter at all times and that ive kept alive for 3 years. I rarely save discard so one less thing to worry about. I keep about 30 grams of starter going at all time on my counter that is fed 1-2 times a day… and I sometime forget and she lives on. Keeping a small starter that can be bulked up for big bakes helps to reduce the amount of flour being wasted too. If you ever want to take the leap please reach out and I would be more than happy to share some starter with you.
