THANK YOU so much, Eureka! We had an incredible day at the Old Town Oktoberfest. We survived the heat, we ate the most delicious gyros, and sold almost all of our hundreds of cake pops!

The real fan favorite of the day was a very clear Carrot Cake, which is based on my bestselling carrot cake recipe 😁 Chocolate Salted Caramel was also very popular with my homemade caramel sauce. But at the end of the day, we brought a wide variety of delicious cake pops to make sure that there was something on the menu for everyone to enjoy. The picky eaters had their Vanilla Bean, the adventurous had their German Chocolate, the devoted autumn-loving crowd had their long-awaited Pumpkin Spice, and those who adhere to the tried-and-true had their Red Velvet. It was an incredible day, and it was wonderful to get to share my homemade desserts with all of you.

Thank you again to everyone who braved the heat. I know I say it a lot, but your unwavering support is what keeps me moving forward through all the challenges of owning a business. The long days, the late nights, and the failed recipes are all made worth it when you show up time and time again to enjoy my baked goods. You inspire me to keep pushing the bounds of baking, which I hope to do for you for as long as you’ll have me 😁🫶🏼

It’s finally time to look the part! The UPS Store 5213 in Eureka now offers screen printing for T-shirts and hoodies, and the bakery’s first apparel tests came out gorgeous. See them in person at the Old Town Oktoberfest in Eureka this Sunday from 1 PM - 6 PM at the Abby’s Bakery vendor booth on Central Ave.

Although we aren’t currently selling apparel to the public, we ARE selling mind-blowingly delicious cake pops in a variety of unique flavors. Keep an eye out for our menu pictures coming out soon!

Since opening my bakery, my dream order has been a gender reveal, and I could not have asked for a better first one 🍼🩵🩷

This order was a last-minute rush order. And when I tell you rush, I mean RUSH!! On this particular day, I was already knee-deep in baking for a market the following day. I received a call from a customer who had JUST found out the gender of her daughter-in-law’s baby and wanted to reveal it to the expectant parents with a mini cake for them to share. How on earth could I say no?

So I dropped everything 😂

Within a couple hours, I had the cake baked, carefully frosted to hide the gender reveal color inside, and beautifully wrapped in ribbon to commemorate the occasion. It was incredible to be a part of such an important day.

And since it’s been a couple months, I can safely spoil it for you….. IT’S A GIRL!!! 💕🎀🌷

THIS SUNDAY Abby’s Bakery will be a vendor at the Old Town Oktoberfest in Eureka! The event will run from 1 PM - 6 PM and it will be absolutely packed with delicious food, local vendors, live music, and all the classic Oktoberfest activities 🍺🥨💙

On your way to the Stein Holding Competition, make sure to stop by Abby’s Bakery for a wide variety of indulgent homemade cake pops. As one of the easiest treats to eat on the go, a cake pop is the perfect snack to bring anywhere down Central Ave to explore the whole festival.

With just a second to breathe before the holiday season, I finally have a moment to post some of the custom work that I’ve done the last few months, and by golly, I have a lot to show you!

This birthday party pack order came from a regular customer of mine who has allowed me to help commemorate almost every special occasion since I opened my bakery. This particular pack included a cake, cupcakes, and dipped pretzels to match the party theme: American Girl Doll with just a hint of Bluey 🩵

The cake has a bright blue base coat as a nod to everyone’s favorite blue heeler. In the classic American Girl Doll reds and pinks, the vintage-style piping really shines against the blue base. On serving day, this cake was topped with some new American Girl Doll Little People toys for the birthday girl to enjoy at her party.

It’s such a blessing to get to help create the magic of these moments. Delicious to eat, gorgeous to look at, and sure to be a core memory for the whole family. Happy (belated) Birthday, Josephine! 🎂🎉🥳
