Forget the lake for Labor Day, we took off to the beach for one last hoorah!

We traveled SO much for basketball this summer, I promised Cam I’d get him to the beach, even if it was only for a few days.

So here we are! A few days of sunshine, sand, and no basketball.

Oh, 100/10. No biggy. 😂

Whipped frosting. A perfectionist’s nightmare. You have about 4.7 seconds to work with it, especially in this heat. You can see every line, every imperfection, every little thing that would normally drive me absolutely crazy.

I might have spent a few hours in the closet crying over this one. 😂 Okay, maybe that’s a little dramatic… but you get the gist.

And you know what? It’s Friday. I’m headed to the beach soon. All will be well. I’ll have my toes in the water and a margarita in my hand soon enough. And after this one? I deserve it. 😂

I was HELL BENT on completing this task, though. Thank goodness no one could hear the words coming from my mouth.

A lot of the inspiration pictures are AI, or they use buttercream, and trying to recreate the same look with whipped frosting was definitely a challenge.

But I’m a little stubborn and like to think I can do hard things. So I did.

Gosh, normally by this time it’s actually starting to feel like fall around here. But nope… here we are, still sitting at 115° in the great state of Oklahoma. 🥵

But in Oklahoma, we like to do things the hard way. 😂

So yes, I’m ready for pumpkins, sweaters, football and all things fall… but apparently Oklahoma didn’t get the memo.

Reasons you should hire me to make your cake!

I will NEVER look at your inspiration picture and say “I can do that” and then not give you something that looks nothing like you asked for. IE, the Walmart mishaps

I will always give you the best-tasting cake I possibly can. Because it can’t just LOOK good. It better taste good too!

Once you become my customer, you’re more than just a customer. ❤️

You’re also getting some entertainment along with your cake because I can’t seem to just make cakes without some humor also.

And most importantly… you will not be disappointed. I put a lot of pride into what leaves my kitchen.

So if you’ve got a cake idea, send it to me. If I’m not qualified, I’ll find someone who is!

I’m beyond proud of this kid. Today he received his first offer to play college basketball.

I’ve said it many times, and I’ll say it again: he quietly works, shows up every day, never complains, and never quits. He does the things nobody wants to do, and he’s learned that sometimes you don’t have to be the loudest in the room, you just have to keep showing up and doing what it takes to win.

Today, he finally earned a reward for all that hard work. And I have a feeling he’s going to have some BIG decisions to make after this season because I’m believing big things are ahead for him.

He’s tough, coachable, has a great attitude, stays out of trouble, and gives everything he has every time he steps on the court.

Recruiting is tough, and separating yourself takes an incredible amount of work. He misses out on a lot of normal teenage things because he’s chasing a bigger goal, and I couldn’t be more proud of him for it.

Now y’all better watch this Catoosa Basketball team this year. This team is FILLED with talent. 🏀
