Almond Bark vs. Sweet Shoppe/11:01 vs. Merckens
Stay tuned to the end for my honest opinion of all three!🤩

06/15/2026

Almond bark is great for a beginner treatmaker, but I definitely prefer Stover & Company Sweet Shoppe Ultra White Melting wafers mixed with about 10-15% of their Eleven O’one White Deluxe line of compound chocolate. The taste is elite and the consistency is PERFECT!
I made the switch when I started selling cake pops and I haven’t looked back!
Some people do prefer just sticking with almond bark because it is easy to find, melts smoothly, and really does have a great taste, so it is truly based on preference! Whatever works best for you and your craft. 🤩

Both the Sweet Shoppe and Eleven O’one lines can be purchased on www.stovercompany.com

P.S. The colored melts from Sweet Shoppe are just as amazing😋🌈

If you’re a beginner treatmaker stop scrolling!✋🏼
Let me show you how I melt my almond bark😊

Get a brick of almond bark from Walmart! It is $3.97, and it yields about 2 cups.
Fun Fact: there is no almond in almond bark! Technically this isn’t even almond bark, it’s called “Vanilla Candy Coating”. The package just says, “Make Your Own Almond Bark”.

This is a great coating to start your treat making journey. As you get better at melting, dipping, decorating, and start making money for your business, you might want to upgrade to a better quality compound chocolate.
I currently use Stover and Company Sweet Shoppe, but I definitely started off with this Vanilla Candy Coating and everyone loves it!

How I make Cherry Chip Cake Pop Dough🍒
*this is a discontinued flavor, I bought it on Amazon for $30 (3 pack)

🍒1 box of Betty Crocker Cherry Chip Cake Mix
🍒3 eggs
🍒1 cup of water (or milk if you prefer)
🍒1/2 cup of sour cream
🍒1 teaspoon of Porsha Kimble Almond flavor
🍒350F for ~27 minutes
🍒Cover it to lock in the heat and let it cool for 6-8 hours until it is room temperature
🍒Put in it the Kitchen Aid mixer on the “stir” setting until it forms a dough (or hand mixer or knead with your hands). Mine took about 1 minute to form the dough

✨Unbox my Daisy Makes Grab Bag with me!✨

Mistakes happen! Every few months, Daisy Makes releases a select amount of “Mistakes Grab Bags” on their website! For $25, you get 4-6 Daisy Makes products that might have a blemish, wrong color, or are just not up to their standards. They are still completely functional! They sell out super fast and it’s so thrilling when you finally get the “order confirmed” web page!🥹

This was such a fun grab bag!!
Thank you, Makes!🌼

If you scored a grab bag, let me know what you got in the comments!🤩
