I had a request for cranberry orange sugar cookies. You can order by Monday at 6 PM. They will be $10 a dozen. Pick up any day after 1 o’clock .Also this request is from me. I will be taking orders for these “ Take a little piece of my heart” Valentine’s Day cookie. Untie the ribbon and give someone a piece of your heart. I came up with the idea for these when I lived in Bethlehem , Pennsylvania.
The dough is my mom‘s recipe and dates back to the 50s. This sugar cookie is a thin crisp cookie. So they take a lot of time and effort to make. They will be packaged individually. They are two $2 each set. Please have your orders in by Monday, February 2 at 6 o’clock . You can pick up the following week any day after 1:00 pm . Thank you !!

Good afternoon everyone. Hope all of you enjoyed the holidays with your family. I’m taking a break for a few weeks from baking . I have had my fill of sweets.  I will resume in a few weeks with some breads. Stay healthy and safe.

As we come to the close of another year, if I have regrets for errors or omissions, I will dismiss them. The New Year  has no time or room for futile regrets.
I will live just one day at a time, as I grow in confidence and faith in God‘s love and grace.
I will ease myself of the burdens of the past and the uncertainty of the future. Whatever may come, I will meet with faith, strength, and hope!

There were so many good things to pick from. But this is what I will be making for Christmas . All Pittsburgh favorites. From left to right, I will be doing nut strudel on poppyseed strudel. They will be $20 each. Top right is Pittsburgh Lady locks which are a cream horn. Ricotta cookies,Kolaczki which are a Polish delicate cookie filled with strawberry or apricot jam. Then we have a nut horn, and chocolate coffee biscotti . I will also do a cranberry orange bread. The bread will be $8. for a large loaf. All cookies will be $10. a dozen.

I will not be posting anything for the upcoming week. I figured everybody has had their fill of sweets. I will be posting the cookies I will be doing for Christmas soon.
