When a potential client says a quote is too much for a cake consider this...

Each order requires supplies like eggs,sugar butter,extracts,flour, cake board, cake box. Possibly fresh fruit fillings made from scratch and hand sculpted figures made one at a time. Don't forget time the Time that is spent buying supplies, prepping and make the cake and fillings as well as decorating. So when you add all that up would you do a custom job that you pour your time and dedication into and then pay yourself $2 an hour? That is why great custom cakes are not cheap and cheap custom are often not good.
