Hey there, sourdough lovers! 👋🏽
I’m Emily, the face (and hands!) behind Nurtured Dough Sourdough Company. I don’t often pop on here, but I wanted to take a moment to personally introduce myself and share a little about how Nurtured Dough came to life.
I started this journey back in 2023 when I discovered a deep love for sourdough baking. What began as a healthier switch for my family quickly turned into a full-blown passion. Living with Ulcerative Colitis since I was 14 has taught me the importance of gut health, and sourdough has been a game changer- it’s easier to digest and has played a huge role in my own healing journey.
When I’m not baking up loaves in the bakery, you’ll find me spending time with my four-year-old daughter, who truly is my whole world.🩷
As Nurtured Dough has grown, I’ve been so thankful to expand into more local events and markets. I couldn’t do it without my amazing market reps, who bring our sourdough to life for you in person, my incredible mom, who’s become my right-hand baking assistant (even if it wasn’t exactly her plan at first😉) and my amazing dad who does a lot of behind the scenes stuff (like bringing me the items I forget at events😅)
To everyone who has ordered online, stopped by a market, or simply shared a kind word- thank you from the bottom of my heart. You’ve turned my little dream into a reality, and I’m endlessly grateful for your support.
