Wow. I am overwhelmed with gratitude.
Receiving the $6,000 Community Service Initiative Award is such an incredible honor and a moment I will cherish forever. This award represents every conversation, every volunteer hour, every young person who has chosen connection over isolation, and every supporter who has believed in the mission of Hang Up and Hang Out.
When I first became involved with the Miss America Organization, I knew it was an opportunity to grow as a leader and advocate. What I did not realize was just how deeply it would shape me. The Miss America Organization has given me a platform, a voice, and the confidence to turn a passion into meaningful action. It has challenged me to dream bigger, serve willingly, and use my experiences to make a difference in the lives of others.
Through Hang Up and Hang Out, I have worked to encourage people to put down their devices, engage in genuine conversation, and build stronger connections within their communities. In a world where loneliness and disconnection continue to grow, I believe the simple act of being present with one another can truly be life-changing.
I am incredibly thankful to the Miss Oklahoma Organization for recognizing the importance of community service and empowering young women to create positive change.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me, believed in this initiative, and joined me in proving that meaningful connection still matters. This moment is one I will never forget, and I am excited to continue growing the impact of Hang Up and Hang Out for years to come. It’s because of the OK Crown Foundation, sponsors, donors, businesses, and people like YOU who make these opportunities possible. The Miss Oklahoma Organization awarded over $120,000 in scholarship funding before the competition even began—a powerful reminder that this organization is truly committed to investing in the education, leadership, and future of young women across our state.
