This week absolutely flew by, but the ovens are going to be busy tomorrow morning and the shelves will be full of fresh sourdough and sweet treats waiting for you. ❤️

🌶️🧀 Hot Honey & Asiago ………

Somewhere along the way, this flavor quietly became one of the signature Saltbox combinations and honestly… I completely understand why. The savory asiago, the slight sweetness, the little kick of heat, it’s one of those flavors people try once and then think about for weeks 😂

It’s been such a hit in both loaf and scone form and I’ve had so much fun baking with it this spring.

So if you’ve been meaning to try it, stock up on it, slice it for burgers, toast it with butter, or turn it into the grilled cheese of your dreams… this weekend is the weekend.

After Saturday, Hot Honey & Asiago will be taking a little vacation until late summer/early fall 🍂

As May comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting a lot on community and what this little bakery has grown into 🤍

This week I received a couple handwritten thank you cards in the mail and it genuinely meant so much to me. Those small gestures are such a beautiful reminder that what we’re building here is about so much more than bread. It’s about connection, thoughtfulness, comfort, celebration, and showing up for one another in both big and small ways.

One of my favorite things about owning Saltbox Bakery is getting to be part of this community and your lives. The birthday gatherings, holidays, cookouts, thank you gifts, new babies, hard seasons, celebrations, and quiet mornings at home. It never stops amazing me that people think of my bakery when they want something meaningful to share with someone else. 🥹

Moments like this also remind me how deeply small businesses are woven into a community. Small businesses are the heartbeat of communities. Small businesses are the ones sponsoring little leagues, donating to raffles and fundraisers, showing up for local events, supporting other local businesses, and pouring ourselves back into the places we call home.

Every order, share, recommendation, kind comment, and visit to small businesses matters more than you probably realize. You help keep dreams alive. You help families. You help communities stay connected and vibrant.

The June menu is officially here and I truly think there’s something for everyone this month. From savory sourdough loaves and fresh summer scones to fudgy brownies, loaf cakes, burger buns, cornbread, and more. ☀️🍓🌽

Need a spontaneous sweet treat or last-minute bread stop? The Saturday bread stand is stocked from 11am–3pm and is perfect for browsing, grabbing extras, and discovering surprise goodies. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite parts of the week. 💛

This menu has a mix of returning favorites and brand new seasonal bakes that I cannot wait for you to try. The brown butter peach cobbler scones, blueberry lemon loaf cake, maple pecan sourdough, and chocolate oatmeal stout are especially calling my name. 🤤

I’ll also be releasing a small Father’s Day exclusive soon with a few special items perfect for celebrating dads, grandpas, bonus dads, and all the father figures we love. Stay tuned for that announcement!
