Today’s pastry: Skolebrød or Skoleboller (Norwegian for “school bread”). Sometimes life creates an Instagram post, but in this case Instagram inspired me! I was looking around on discovery page and saw these beautiful pastries- Skolebrød.This is a super soft bread, lightly spiced with cardamom, and very delicious. It seemed like a random mix of things- Coconut? Cardamom? Pastry cream? But all of them combined to make a delightful pastry that feels light and rich at the same time. Filipino American baker>Norwegian Bread>polish baking dish. Super multicultural 😉. I recommend getting out of your comfort zone and trying new things- this was a pleasant discovery. •
