Irene’s Treats Home Baking Coming from a small country in Europe (Albania), as I was growing up, I remember helping my mom in the kitchen and being grandma’s right hand.

From an early age, I fell in love with Greek/Mediterranean cuisine, and more specifically their desserts. Baking became my passion. While I was living in Greece, I worked in several pastry shops and learned to master a lot of traditional recipes. Becoming a mother has been very rewarding, and at the time I decide to focus on my family and put my dream of starting my own home baking business on the

side. Now that my children are a bit older, seeing how I still feel about baking, they were the ones that encouraged me to pursue my lifelong dream, which is to create these traditional sweets and share them with the people that I love, and the people who love this cuisine. My children love helping me in the kitchen, and that is what motivated me to start my business called “Irene’s Treats”.

Everyone has a story, but the story of my aunt is a kind of a special one💞
She is a respected and well known baker in my hometown Saranda, known for her lokum and her beautiful handmade sweets, but even more for her strong spirit and hardworking nature.

She built her life through years of dedication, working endlessly and never giving up, even when things were difficult. She faced many hardships, including the heartbreaking loss of a child, but she carried that pain with quiet strength.
Nowadays a hotel owner, a chef, a baker, a mom and grandmother and so much more…

Walking towards her steps makes my heart filled with pride and gratitude.
Being her niece means carrying a piece of her story with me—one of resilience, love, and unwavering perseverance.
My example of strength, resilience and dedication.
