Our front porch has been October-field (ie: I rotated our pumpkins to their spookier side) 🎃 and our dogwood trees have begun changing 🍁, so it’s officially fall now!

We’re slowly adding to our Halloween costumes this year and I’m SO EXCITED about them this year! I’ve been planning for this pretty much since the birth of our second daughter, so long that some pieces in my Amazon list aren’t available any more 🤣

Have you figured ours out yet? 🤭
Tell me—what are your kiddos going as this year?

Days like today that hold so much at once.

Grief for the people we’ve lost.
Gratitude for the lives we’ve been given.
Sorrow for what cannot be changed, alongside hope for what is still to come.

Life reminds us that these can exist together.

We can remember and expect.
We can grieve and rejoice.
We can carry what we’ve lost while still making room for what’s new.

And maybe part of honoring is choosing to truly live—to love deeply, to celebrate what’s here, and to embrace the new chapters we’ve been given.

There’s something especially beautiful about witnessing that in motherhood.

New life doesn’t erase our grief. But it can remind us that hope is still here, too. 🤍

Fall decor is up! 🤎

Since I was young, autumn has always meant a home that’s heartily decorated.
Florals, candles, knick-knacks, blankets—it’s the season of cozy and warm. 🍁

But as my in-laws were visiting last weekend, it made me realize that decorating this much…might not exactly be the norm.
My MIL chuckled and told me that she decorates for fall by switching out the wreath on their front door.

And that got me wondering—How much fall decorating is normal? Because over here, apparently, I’m all in. 🤣

So—humor me—are you a seasonal-decor maximalist, a “change the wreath and call it a day” kind of person, or somewhere in between? 🍂

I’ve been a little quieter on here lately—and honestly, life behind the scenes has just been very full.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve been tucked away finalizing galleries, photographing my own family through all 12345+ events this month (Maycember is absolutely a real thing 😅), and pouring my heart into starting something new with .
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Between dance things, school things, friend things, family things, and just trying to remember what day it is…it’s been a season.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But it’s also been a really beautiful one. A reminder that while social media may go quiet sometimes, it’s because I’m living real life—loving my people, serving my clients, and building things I care about.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Still here. Just a little less behind the screen lately 🤍

Spring evenings just have a certain magic to them.

The soft light.
Everything starting to bloom again.
Kids happy to be outside without needing a jacket.

Spring sessions are some of my favorite evenings to photograph each year. And because they’re outdoors, I only take a small number each season.

If you’ve been thinking about a spring session for your family, now’s a great time to reach out. The inquiry link is in my bio. 🤍
