Please let us know how you want to help so we can coordinate everyone's efforts. Bob Magarian founded the Norman Christmas Day Community Dinner in 1987. Due to an ice storm, only about 20 people attended that first dinn

er but the dinner has grown each year since that day. In 2014, Bob and his army of volunteers served over 2,000. In addition to a dinner of Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, a roll and cranberry sauce, a variety of desserts are served including pumpkin pie. Children have the opportunity to select 2 gifts and adults receive a gift bag. Since 1987 Bob and his family have faithfully worked many hours every year to make the dinner happen. A small but mighty group works with the family behind the scenes during the weeks leading up to Christmas Day preparing for the big event. Many community volunteers join them Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to serve food and hand out the toys and gifts. Each year the number of guests grows. The expenses also continue to grow and this year we lost a major food vendor and the food expense doubled.

FREE Coats & Shoes for Kids 👟🧥

Families are invited to a free coat and shoe distribution on Friday, February 6, from 3:30–5:30 p.m. at The Well (210 James Garner Ave).

In partnership with Subaru and Operation Warm, The Center for Children and Families (CCFI) is providing free coats and shoes for kids and teens up to age 18. Sizes are available while supplies last and are first come, first served. Children do not need to be present.

Please help us spread the word so families in our community can stay warm this winter 💙

Drop off donations at Morningstar Storage (1606 24th Ave SW, across from Atwood’s) through Dec 23rd, OR bring toys to Norman High on Christmas Eve morning (9am–noon).

🌲 We always get a large amount of inquiries, which is such a huge blessing! We rely on the support from local businesses and citizens in our community. We are beyond thankful for you and this incredible community that has a serving.

🌲 This event is for everyone - especially those who might otherwise be alone.
