I’m reaching out today to share that I’ll be stepping away from the kitchen for a short period.

As many of you know, I poured my heart into launching The Buttercream Barn, and I’ve loved every minute of baking for this community. However, after some recent health scares, I’ve realized it’s time to take a step back and prioritize my well-being. I need a little window of time to rest and allow my body to adjust to some new medications and health routines.

Taking this break now ensures that when I do return, I can bring the same energy and passion to every cupcake and cookie order that you’ve come to expect from me.

Going to be 100% real here:
I’m new to the baking scene, and I’ve been putting my heart into every single thing I create, trying to get my name out there, sharing my work, and hoping people will give me a chance. Recently, I got what I thought was my first big order… and I was SO excited. Like, over-the-moon excited.

But it turned out to be a scam.

I won’t lie, this one hurt. Not just because it was frustrating, but because it got my hopes up. When you’re starting out, moments like that feel huge. And having it pulled out from under you is discouraging in a way that’s hard to explain unless you’ve been there.

But here’s the thing… I’m not stopping.

I’m still going to bake.
I’m still going to post.
I’m still going to share my love for what I do with my community.

Because this isn’t just about orders, it’s about passion. It’s about creating something with my own hands and putting it out into the world.

If anything, this just made me more determined to keep going and to build something real.

So if you’ve supported me, even just by liking or sharing my posts, thank you. It means more than you know!! 💛

And if you’re new here, stick around. I’ve got a lot more baking (and growing) to do. 🍰

I almost got scammed today and I want to warn other bakers 😭

Someone “placed an order” and pretended to send money through Cash App, then sent me a fake screenshot saying the payment was declined and needed my email to go through.

That is NOT real.

Please don’t fall for this! if the money isn’t in your account, you were NOT paid. No app needs your email to “release” funds.

People are really out here targeting small businesses. Be careful 💔
