How to make it

12 chocolate sandwich cookies, cream removed and finely crushed

For the Chocolate Drip & Decoration

3½ oz (100 g) semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
⅓ cup (80 ml) heavy whipping cream
10–12 whole chocolate sandwich cookies
½ cup (60 g) coarsely crushed chocolate sandwich cookies

How to make it

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease three 8-inch round cake pans. Line the bottoms with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Add the buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
Slowly stir in the hot coffee until fully incorporated.
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans.
Bake for 23–26 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool completely, then chill the cake layers for at least 1 hour.
