Nine years ago today, on January 8, 2013, Greg and I met at LAX in a Liberty in North Korea tour van. Greg flew in from Greensboro, North Carolina. I flew in from Great Falls, Virginia. Greg was 23, and I was 24. We were two, adventurous little baby-adults who wanted to change the world. We were still figuring out who we were and how we wanted to exist in this world.
Nine years ago today, we fell in love. By the grace of God, we are still here.
Today, I am 33, and Greg is 32. We’re married, we still work together, and we live in Brooklyn with our fluffy little puppy-daughter, Harriet Gamja Ko . We’re still in love. We still want to change the world. We’re still figuring out who we are. And we’re still learning how we want to exist in this world.
We started a tradition last year where we walked all over New York City, attempting to eat at eight different places to celebrate eight years of being together. We decided to do our anniversary food crawl again this year, but this time, we went to nine places, and we included non-food places that are important to us! Today, from 12-9 pm, Greg and I walked 29,000+ steps and 11 miles. 🙃

4. Yu & Me Books — there are so many good books here and Lucy the owner is the best!!! ✏️📚✨

6. Birds of a Feather — mapo tofu 🍛
7. Levain Bakery — oatmeal raisin cookie 🍪
8. Gentle Perch — korean fried chicken sandwich + cajun fries 🍔🍟
9. Petee's Pie Company — hudson valley apple pie slice 🥧
Happy nine-year anniversary, Greg. I can’t imagine living this life with anyone else. Thanks for making so much space for me. Thanks for loving me so well. And thanks for always being down for a crazy adventure. I love you so much.

Today, Greg and I celebrate eight years together! ✨ Eight years ago today, on January 8, 2013, Greg and I met at LAX, about to start our internships at Liberty in North Korea. We were babies — I was 24, Greg was 23. Today, I’m 32, and Greg is 31.
To celebrate 8 years together, we decided to walk 8 miles all over New York City, eating 8 different things, at 8 different places, because we’re crazy. We walked 8.64 miles, froze our asses off, made ourselves sick from eating so much food, and had to take the train home, all with Harriet the pup with us, but it was so much fun and very much worth it. Swipe left to see all the yummy goodness and our slow fade to exhaustion.

I can’t imagine living this life or doing crazy ass things like this with anybody else. We are the freaking dream team.
Happy 8-year anniversary, chicken. 8 down, 80 to go. I fear the day we have to eat 80 things. 🥯🍓🍕🥖🍪🍦🍶

A peak into the 1st Annual Brooklyn BagelFest, NYC's first ever Bagel-themed food festival!
On September 8th, 2019 a sold out crowd of 350 gathered in Bushwick where they sampled Bagels from the best shops in NYC (and beyond), played Bagel-themed games, and busted open a Bagel-piñata!
