Calling all WOMEN VETERANS!!!🇺🇸.

Myself along with my fellow Sista in Arms and Columbia student will be hosting another one of our weekend Art&Chill sessions for Women Vets. If you missed the last one, you don’t want to miss this one! This is a complete safe and fun zone for us to just check in on one another and create at the same time! Dress code is Comfy as possible(No Bra necessary if that’s what comfy means for you!:) no judgment zone). Also it’s BYOB!!!!yes BYOB! I’ll have my glass of wine on the side to toast up with you all! All we ask if you have a sheet of paper or some sort of canvas with drawing utensils readily available! Don’t have neither? Don’t worry! We got you!!!.

VCA attends an amazing all Veteran Show curated by former Air Force Veteran .
The night was filled with remarkable performances, poetry and connection with fellow comrades and civilians.

Missed the opening reception? No worries, the exhibit is still on view for the entire week! Come by and see works from Veterans and their families, while reading their personal stories. It’s a show you don’t want to miss!

In honor of Veterans Week, Gallop NYC has partnered up with SVA Veterans group to host an amazing evening of horseback riding lessons and care . Please click link to RSVP.
Please come in jeans/long pants and cloths toe shoes.
If you want to browse the work this amazing non-profit has done, visit them on ig . Flyers will be posted around the campus this week.

You do not have to be a student at the school of Visual arts to participate. All veterans are welcome. Although please RSVP to confirm your spot. Only 15 spots available. Looking forward to sharing this experience with you all!

NOVEMBER 11: ARTS IN THE ARMED FORCES ON BROADWAY

Arts in the Armed Forces holds their 11th Annual Broadway Show on November 11. Enjoy a staged reading of A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry. Free reception begins at 5:30 pm. The performance begins at 7 pm, with a Q&A with the cast and creative team following at 9 pm. The entire event is free for veterans, current servicemen and women, military families and caregivers (proof of service required). Learn more about the all-star cast and reserve your tickets HERE.

Hello, fellow veterans!

My name is Christian Medina and I am seeking a roommate for the 2019-2020 school year. I am a Junior at The School of Visual Arts and am looking for an apartment to share with someone in lower manhattan. Here are the details:
- A 2 Bedroom would be ideal
- I will be sharing 1 room with my girlfriend
- By lower manhattan I mean roughly 23rd st and down
- Would like to move in ASAP
- Very likely that the lease will be a 1-year lease
- I don't have a specific apartment in mind at the moment. Just reaching out to see if anyone would be interested before beginning the apartment search process.

A little about myself.
I am an aspiring filmmaker studying film. I am a native New Yorker. I served as an Indirect fire Infantryman for 4 years. I love the outdoors and more specifically fly fishing. I am 27 years old. I will be interning and attending school 5 days a week. I am silly, humble, and energetic.

A little about Elsa (my girlfriend)
She is a photographer. She is 25 years old. She also loves the outdoors. She is from Washington state. Elsa is clean, optimistic, and outgoing.
