As a Jamaican who’s also an organ transplant recipient of a heart & liver donation 22 years ago and a new kidney a year and a half ago, I started Christy’s Rum Cakes to honor my heritage and the gift of life I’ve been blessed to receive twice. Our cakes are made from a family recipe with new varieties tried at home each season. I’ve made it my personal mission to raise awareness and promote organ and tissue donation. 10% of the proceeds from Christy’s Rum Cakes are donated directly to organ transplant charities (learn more on my site).
