Dang, forgot to post about these Pattie’s for BLK history month.

Curry Codfish Pattie’s 🌺

Using store bought dough because why not 😌. Would taste even better with starch made dough. If time permits you DO!

Used bacalo or salted cod for these but you can also use unsalted cod. I recommend the salted one for the traditional Caribbean flare. Also, the taste and texture are completely different. A friend once said it’s like prosciutto versus bacon. I can’t confirm not deny that because I don’t eat either but I take her word on that.

Today I was able to get ahead of the next free food event by getting some local carrots and potatoes! My friends from and I were able to get in the dirt and gather so much in this below 50 degree weather. Pretty proud of us and how much we got out.

This is my first using the theme to raise funds but thought we’d give it a chance. You can help .de by donating to the cash app or Venmo mentioned. Originally my goal was to just reach $300 but now realized we can use more packaging, bags, utensils and other supplies that are becoming low or have to replenish. This will also help us going into next year with months we can’t raise as much one month so let help get a little savings going. We do events once every month with monthly fundraising with diaspora pot 😌

Taking my list of ideas and condescending them into a 4-5 piece menu was extremely hard and I always get into my head about whether it’s enough or is it creative enough. I’m annoying.

There will be a link up shortly! Thank you for supporting me 🙂✌🏾

I just dropped these Vegan Date cakes with cardamom glaze off with for our last time making the Friday lunches. Was a pretty cool experience for me and glad she allowed me to help her with this order for the past 8 weeks.

Every week I made a different vegan dessert which has helped me understand what works and what doesn’t. Leans down a lot about texture, taste and vegan eggs in brownies 😅 (you can taste a flaxseed egg when it’s ALOT) conclusion - it was a cool ride ❤️

Ok so I don’t think I talked about this yet. Remnants of a skillet fried rice! The bottom of the pot stickiness that has dried up so nicely. Beautiful golden brown and I was able to scrap it all up for enjoyment! Y’all are missing out if don’t look forward to crisp rice when you make rice dishes. It doesn’t happen all the time I make fried rice but when it does it’s the main event of the dish for me!
In many food cultures people have names to call this ricey phenomenon. I just call it rice chips 😂 it’s damn good.

One of the most popular prophet foods most people know of is WATERMELON! it’s good and refreshing! Anyone who enjoys this fruit eats a lot of it during Ramadan. Especially since for the past couple of years it has been in the summers (Ramadan changes every year making it “arrive” 15-20 day earlier than the last year).

This week I gave out another suprise dessert. Honey watermelon with mint! So good, so refreshing. Was happy to produce this for over 50 people!
You may notice on the last slide about Eid Brunch! God willing we will be provide some quality brunch meals. First come first serve wiiiiiittttthhh the possibility of this showing up on menu 😏 stay tuned and enjoy the last Ten days. May we all reap the great rewards! Ameen
