Winter is Coming. And so is dessert. I made these morbid treats in honor of George R. R. Martin's "Game of Thrones." I followed this brilliant tutorial by Awesome Treats, http://notyourmommascookie.com/2012/04/game-of-thrones-cake-pops/ and made some Red Velvet cake pops. Then I decorated them with Wilton Candy Melts so that they would resemble decapitated heads of the unfortunate Ned Stark. I even printed out a stone wall pattern to mount Ned's head on the wall.

I wanted to make some special cupcakes for a friend to reflect her sunny personality. I made vanilla cupcakes, divided the batter into 6 rainbow colors and made rainbow cupcakes. Then I used vanilla buttercream and topped them with old fashioned candies; Nerds, Sugar Daddies, Rock Candy, Smarties, Gummy Bears. They were as tasty as they were pretty.

I made these cookies in honor of the 2011 Quidditch World Cup held at Randall's Island, NYC. I made the usual characters, along with some racing brooms, Golden Snitches and a few Quidditch-themed ones. They were sugar cookies and chocolate cookies with royale icing.

I made a bouquet of cookie lollipops for a friend's birthday party. I followed a wonderful tutorial to make the swirling sugar cookiepops. I also threw in some Tinkerbelles, some magic star wands and flowers since the birthday girl loves Tinkerbelle. The swirl cookie pops are sugar cookie mixed with food coloring. The other cookiepops are sugar with royale icing and sugar sprinkles.

This was a very special Christmas holiday. One Man Star Wars Trilogy - Charlie Ross, finally returned to NYC to do his famous performance of all three REAL SW movies. As a gift, Master Chef Jim and I made and decorated some Wookie Cookies, using Williams-Sonoma's Star Wars cookie cutters. A tasty treat that's out of this world!

The glutten-free sugar cookies were decorated with royale icing and sugar sprinkles.
