Hi Tana Family,

We received a call yesterday from Ed Albino’s Family, Ed has passed away. Ed always had a smile and a funny joke. You could never feel down around Ed because he would lift you right up. We are so sorry to hear of his passing. We have so many fond memories of our days at Tana with Ed and his family!
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family!
Services are being held in Ma.
David and I will miss him very much!

It has been awhile since I have posted anything to our page... Here are a few updates:

Fred has passed away... I'm sure most of you may already know this... Fred and David created a Tana family that many of us will never forget... we still miss it to this day.. I am grateful that I was apart of that family... So many of us will always remember it as some of the best times of our lives.. Thank you.. and RIP Fred.

I also received a message today from Dimas's daughter Myrna.. Dimas passed away on Nov 13... Below is her note:

Good morning,

My dad, Dimas Silva, worked for Tanagraphics in the 70’s and 80’s…perhaps 90’s as well. Had a very long tenure there and was a very defining time in his life. Saw the Facebook group and wanted to post an update. Sadly, my father passed away on 11/13 at the age of 90. He retired after having cardiac issues that resulted in an angioplasty procedure in NYC and then a triple by pass in Puerto Rico where he lived for decades until the end of his life. My dad loved working for Tanagraphics and spoke highly of many whose names I remember including yours.

I would be proud if you could include a mention of my father’s death on the FB page. Here is a photo from a Tanagraphics event that we found with his things and a more recent one. By the way, my dad went blind about 12 years ago after contracting a bacterial infection in his eyes. Didn’t stop him from living alone in a very rural area and living out his life his way.

Thanks so much. Myrna Silva-Markakis

I will post photo's ...

I should mention Jim Scarry did not pass away from Covid-19.

04/19/2020

Hi Tana Family,

We are praying that every body is being safe.

I wanted to let those that didn’t already know that Jim Scarry has passed away.
Please say prayers for Rosanne and his family.

Also, this was sent to me on FB today so some may have already read it.
I still thought it was worth sharing.

Be safe and be careful.

God Bless us all!

SHARING (via copy and paste) as FOOD FOR THOUGHT.
WE ARE IN THE SAME STORM, BUT THE BOATS WE ARE IN ARE INCREDIBLY DIFFERENT.

WE ARE NOT IN THE SAME BOAT ...
It is said that we are all in the same boat, but it's not like that. We are in the same storm, but not in the same boat. Your ship could be shipwrecked and mine might not be. Or vice versa.

For some, quarantine is optimal. A moment of reflection, of re-connection, easy in flip flops, with a cocktail or coffee. For others, this is a desperate financial & family crisis.

For some that live alone they're facing endless loneliness. While for others it is peace, rest & time with their mother, father, sons & daughters.

With the $600 weekly increase in unemployment some are bringing in more money to their households than they were working. Others are working more hours for less money due to pay cuts or loss in sales.

Some families of 4 just received $3400 from the stimulus while other families of 4 saw $0.

Some were concerned about getting a certain candy for Easter while others were concerned if there would be enough bread, milk and eggs for the weekend.

Some want to go back to work because they don't qualify for unemployment and are running out of money. Others want to kill those who break the quarantine.

Some are home spending 2-3 hours/day helping their child with online schooling while others are spending 2-3 hours/day to educate their children on top of a 10-12 hour workday.

Some have experienced the near death of the virus, some have already lost someone from it and some are not sure if their loved ones are going to make it. Others don't believe this is a big deal.

Some have faith in God and expect miracles during this 2020. Others say the worst is yet to come.

So, friends, we are not in the same boat. We are going through a time when our perceptions and needs are completely different.

Each of us will emerge, in our own way, from this storm. It is very important to see beyond what is seen at first glance. Not just looking, actually seeing.

We are all on different ships during this storm experiencing a very different journey.

I'm so sorry to say that another one of our great
Tana Family has passed away!

When I started to work at Tana in 1980, I could always count on Phil to give me the guidance that I needed.
He was Philly to me all these years.. All through this rough journey he was positive and always thankful for his time.
He was truly Loved and will be missed by many people..
Please reach out to other members of the Tana Family to let them know.. Another Great Person is now resting in peace.

Thanks,,
