ACCENT is an award-winning, full-service New Orleans event and meeting planning firm known for local expertise, trusted relationships, and unforgettable experiences. Lyons, Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) and Destination Management Certified Professional (DMCP), began ACCENT on Arrangements, Inc. with just two people and one goal: to provide meeting professionals and convention planners with local expertise, the highest level of customer service, and truly unforgettable experiences. Our staff now consists of 11 full-time employees, 6 project managers, and more than 100 part-time employees. ACCENT now runs 100 programs in every major meeting city in the US, as well as in Canada and the Caribbean. You can expect total professionalism and hands-on management of each job, exceptional attention to security and safety procedures, and consistently high quality service from ACCENT. ACCENT boasts numerous awards and features in several major business publications including The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, and Nation's Business, as well as an appearance on Good Morning America. The bras were loud. The outfits were sometimes louder. But there was a real reason behind all of it.

Through FestiGals, Diane and Team ACCENT created the annual Bodacious Bras for a Cause, auctioning off one-of-a-kind decorated bras to raise money for local organizations supporting women affected by cancer.

There were some pretty memorable contributions over the years too, including creations from local artists and names like Hoda Kotb, Gayle Benson, James Michalopoulos, and Better Than Ezra.

And because this was New Orleans, there was plenty of pink and orange and, of course, a second line parade or two.

These photos are from years past, but the reason behind them is still a big part of why Breast Cancer Awareness Month means so much to us.

There's a little chill in the air today, our first cold front is on the way, and it's National Gumbo Day. Talk about perfect timing!

Of course, somewhere in Louisiana, somebody is looking at this pot and thinking, "That's not how my mama makes it." 😂

That's the thing about gumbo. Everybody has their own recipe, everybody has an opinion, and everybody knows somebody who makes the best.

And we wouldn't have it any other way.

October hits a little differently for us 💗

For years, Diane and Team ACCENT have been behind FestiGals and Bodacious Bras for a Cause, raising money for local organizations that support women affected by cancer.

Looking back at these photos brings a lot of those memories right back.

It was fun, colorful, a little over the top, and always for something that means a lot to us.

For National Coffee Day, Team ACCENT did a little "research" at a few of our local favorites. Tough job, but somebody had to do it 😂

We stopped by Mammoth Espresso, Fatmas Cozy Corner for Turkish coffee, homemade Turkish Delight, and cuddles with Cozy the cat, Trumpet and Drum Coffee House for an iced latte, and Coffee Roasters, where Campbell’s dogs, Georgette and Marigny, found their new favorite hangout.

And Marcus? He kept it classic with coffee right at the office. Hard to beat a good cup with the team!

Of course, this only scratches the surface. New Orleans has no shortage of great local spots, and there are plenty more we love and visit throughout the year. We didn’t make it to all of them today, but give us time... around here, we run on coffee.
