As you can imagine, it's hard to cover every base as a one woman show... most of the cakes I do are highly detailed and there's quite a few of messages back and forth with clients to ensure we have everything planned out the way they want☺️ I usually plan to respond to messages when I can devote my full attention to that conversation 🙃 again, you guys are great, and thank you for understanding! 🩷

Let's make a rustic Birch Bark themed wedding cake! With handmade sugar flowers, sculpted and Handpainted Birch Bark texture and initials, this cake was a beautiful addition to a picturesque reception hall. It really looked like a birch tree, forever memorializing the bride and groom! It was a wonderful experience to work with a friend of the bride and groom to make this romantic cake.🩷 Congrats to the happy couple!💐

For my fellow Decorators: TheSugarArt.com will always be my brand of choice when it comes to edible petal and luster dusts... AmeriColor and Chefmaster has always been my go to for gel food coloring.
I just ordered some edible paint from Colour Mill, I'll let you know what I think!😉

This was such a fun cake to make! When I first heard "skater girl" cake, my first thought was Avril/punk and skateboards. While that's a fun direction, this Girly ROLLERskater theme is so sweet and juust a bit of edge. The cake looked amazing amongst all the '90s/'00s themed decorations and great memories were made in honor of this special girl🩷

I can't tell you how many times I've heard "fondant? Ewwww!" Or "we want this design, but NO FONDANT"... then that design is next to impossible for me to pull off without using fondant. Or their cake would look or perform it's best if covered in fondant... uh-oh!
I like to think of fondant as a "garnish" or decoration rather than part of the actual cake. You could eat it, some do! But you don't 'have' to.
But also, do you like marshmallows? How about sugar? Those are the main ingredients in my fondant. I also add modeling chocolate to mine😋 so you may be surprised that it actually doesn't taste terrible! This is how I make it!
