NEW IBERIA | CHARLES BOLDT PAPER MILL 🧱

This one may seem a bit random, but it’s a little memorable for me! ☺️

Growing up, my dad *always* pointed out the old paper mill to us anytime we passed by. He always tried to trick us into thinking that more bricks had fallen - literally EVERY single day lol! 🧡

New Iberia has so many recognizable features!
Another piece of our city turned into a COOKIE. 🍪

NEW IBERIA | SHADOWS ON THE TECHE 🏛️🌳

Today’s cookie is inspired by one of the most recognizable and historical landmarks along Main St. - the Shadows on the Teche. 🧡

From the columns and shutters, to every teeny tiny window, so much charm put into one cookie!!!!

Lots of tiny details went into this one….and I just LOVED watching it all come together. 🤗

In case you missed last weeks post, I’m slowly turning our sweet home into SUGAR COOKIES!
This is part of my little New Iberia cookie “series” - where every Sunday I’ll be sharing one of my hand-decorated cookies inspired by a local landmark or special piece of our community!!! 🍪

This Sunday features the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. More than just a beautiful landmark… it’s a beloved space of faith, hope, and peace! 🤍

I hope this cookie captures even a small piece of that beauty! Sometimes we pass by these places every single without realizing just how special they are. ☺️

Every tiny stone detail hand-piped with countless dots of icing!!!! ✨

Introducing a little SUGAR COOKIE SERIES that honors the place we call “home” in the SWEETEST way I know. Deaux By Joe style! 🍪

I just LOVE the idea of taking the places we drive by everyday and turning them into little edible works of art, highlighting the special charms of New Iberia. ✨

Our city is SOOOO full of history, beauty, and many hidden gems - so I’m transforming them all into cookies!

Consider this my lil love letter to our hometown!
Whether it’s a historic building, a FAV local spot, or a place that just brings memories, I can’t wait to recreate it in icing!!!! 💌

Celebrating America’s birthday the BEST way I know how… with thousands of icing details!!!! 🤩

Felt the urge to make some intricate patriotic cookies…just because I felt like it!
Creating & designing cookies is still a fun hobby that I truly enjoy, not only a growing small business! I’ll forever be grateful that I’m able to do what I LOVE - and most importantly, I get to share it with all of YOU amazing people. ❤️
