There have been a lot of conversations happening behind the scenes lately, and today felt like the right day to share a little more of our journey.
Many of you know us from the farmers market. Some of you have heard bits and pieces along the way. Others may not know that for quite some time now, we've been working toward opening a storefront here in New Braunfels.
It has been a dream that has grown slowly, one step at a time.
There have been moments where doors opened that we never could have planned ourselves, moments that reminded us to keep trusting the path in front of us. Looking back, it's easy to see how faithfully each step has led to the next.
Last week, we met with our design team and began getting a clearer picture of what it will take to bring this space to life. Like many construction projects, the numbers are coming in higher than we anticipated, and if we're honest, it's been a little overwhelming.
This dream suddenly feels both incredibly close and, at the same time, uncertain.
As I sit here listening to the rain today, I realized something.
We've shared the joyful parts of this journey, and it's just as important to share the uncertain ones too.
We don't know exactly what the next few weeks will look like. We don't know if every piece will come together the way we've imagined. But we do know this.
The same God who has guided every step of this journey hasn't changed because the numbers did.
Our hope has never been rooted in a building.
It's rooted in the belief that one day there will be a place where our community can gather over coffee, where kids can come in after school for a treat, where friends linger over conversation, and where someone who has spent years feeling limited by gluten can walk in and order anything on the menu without a second thought.
That's the dream we're holding onto.
We would be grateful for your prayers as we continue walking this road. And no matter what the next chapter looks like, thank you for being part of this journey with us.
We can't wait to see where it leads.
