Some days it be like this....❤️
Snuggling with my pup while the boys watch football.

Until I got a call from my Dad that his dog, Atalie, broke her lead and chased a coyote into the woods behind his house.🤦‍♀️

My sister and a neighbor went searching on foot in the woods, I drove around the neighborhood searching, with my Dad's girlfriend. ❤️

2 hours later, Atalie came over the wall, the same place she left, totally fine not a scratch on her. We are all so happy she is home, safe!

Made me hug my dog so hard when I got home.🐶

Some days, it's the little things that keep you going. ☕😂

For me, it's having my morning coffee, getting through my workday, and knowing I have a few things that make life at home a little easier.

I'm a full-time working mom with a side business, and trust me…I'm not looking to make my life MORE complicated! 🤣

That's one reason I love the Tupperware products I actually use in my everyday life. If something saves me time, helps me waste less food, or makes my day a little easier, it's earned its spot in my kitchen!

Because let's be honest…life is busy enough already!

Can we talk about food waste for a minute? 🙋‍♀️

First, I have to give a little shout-out to Aldi. Their fruits and veggies are some of the freshest, most delicious AND most reasonably priced I've found. And honestly? I swear they last longer than produce I've bought at other grocery stores. 🍓🫐🥦

But even the freshest produce needs a little help once it gets home!

One thing that has made a BIG difference for me is how I store it.

I've learned that just tossing fruits and veggies into the fridge isn't always enough. Different produce needs different conditions to stay fresh, and that's where my FridgeSmarts have become one of those kitchen things I reach for ALL the time.

Because if I can buy fresh produce at a great price and actually EAT it before it turns into a science experiment…I'm calling that a win! 😂

Less food going in the trash = more money staying in my wallet.

That's a win in my book.

I was not ready for 40 degrees!! ❄️😩

Hot Take: I am a late Spring and Summer girlie for sure. I hate the cold and I hate the long Northeast winters. In my opinion, Winter is October to April, I don't enjoy the temperature lower than 55 degrees, and even that is pushing it.

Waking up this morning to the house being 63 was less than enjoyable. Then go outside and its 40 degrees....NO THANK YOU!!

Anyone in the Northeast feel the same? 👇

🍎Food Waste Prevention Week — TIP #5

Before you make that grocery list…**SHOP YOUR FRIDGE FIRST! 👀

I know, I know…sometimes opening the fridge feels like opening a mystery box. 😂

But before I head to the grocery store, I try to take a look at what we already have and see what needs to be used up.

That leftover chicken? Dinner.

Those veggies that are getting a little too close to their expiration date? Add them to something.

The half-used package of cheese? Find a way to work it into the meal plan.

And this is one reason I love my Monday Dinner Plan. It helps me look at what we already have and figure out how I can use it before buying more.

Because sometimes saving money on groceries doesn't mean finding another coupon…

It means NOT buying something you already have! 🙌

And when I can store what I have properly so it actually lasts until I'm ready to use it, even better.

🍽️ Food Waste Prevention Week — TIP #4

Let's give those leftovers a little makeover!

Because eating the exact same dinner three nights in a row isn't always very exciting. 😂

But that leftover chicken sitting in the fridge?

It could become:
🌮 Tacos
🥪 A sandwich or wrap
🍲 Soup
🥗 A salad
🧀 Quesadillas

Leftover veggies can go into eggs, pasta or a stir-fry. Extra pasta can become tomorrow's lunch. And that little bit of meat that isn't quite enough for another dinner can become part of something completely different.

The goal isn't just to store leftovers. It's to actually USE them.

That's one reason I love having containers that make it easy to put leftovers away and keep them ready for their next meal.

Because sometimes preventing food waste is as simple as looking at what's already in your fridge and asking:

"What can I turn this into?"🤔

🧊 Food Waste Prevention Week — TIP #3

Here's your reminder that you don't have to eat something just because it's about to go bad.

FREEZE IT!

If you know you're not going to use something before it goes bad, freeze it and save it for another day.

Bread, berries, cooked meat, leftovers…there are SO many foods that can be frozen instead of ending up in the trash.

And yes…before anyone notices, that IS a piece of "fakeware" in this picture. 😂 The bottom one is real Tupperware. 😋

I actually have a couple of non-Tupperware containers that I use in a pinch. I'm a real person with a real kitchen, after all! 😉

But when I'm storing food in the freezer, I do reach for my Tupperware freezer containers because I know they're designed for freezer storage and they're part of the system I've used for years.

Because food waste prevention doesn't have to be complicated.

Sometimes it's simply:

"We're not going to eat this this week…so let's freeze it!"

Less food in the trash = more of the food you paid for actually getting eaten. 🙌
