For those of you who know and those of you that dont I lost one of my sisters, Shelley Farris , a year ago unexpectedly. Today is her birthday. She would have been 47. We loved to make and create recipes together as she was a chef for the first part of her career in her life. She and her fiance owned a sugar house and made (still make) maple syrup in Maine. For the last several years my husband and I would go out and help them during a special weekend called Maine Maple Weekend 🍁. Especially during this time we loved coming up with new recipes and sharing all of our creations with all of their customers. We had the best time and I now cherish all of the memories. So this week for Nevada Downtown Market I am honoring her the best way I know how, through food. Specials for this week are our - maple rice krispies, maple cinnamon rolls with a maple glaze and maple candied pecans, and maple snickerdoodle cookies. I will also have my scotcharoos, Puppy chow, and monster cookies. Come see me Thursday evening 💙
