My Mom was recovering from cancer treatment one Thanksgiving when the great mistake occurred. My Mom was determined to have everything including a Carrot cake that she was trusting me to bake. She sat in her chair of honor at the kitchen table and watched my every move. I followed the recipe almost to perfection. But, I did one thing WAY wrong in her eyes. ng my Carrot Cake. My Aunt Annie Mae provided the original recipe she always tried but was never able to pinpoint what I did that was different and trust me she tried. I now love to bake and enjoy coming up with my own special twists to standard recipes. All of my cakes are from scratch, all of the pie crusts are from scratch no prepackaged base ingredients for me.
