Pawsitively Wicked, Nettles the Cat, was a great challenge for me today! This block took me all day long to complete and I’m super pleased with the outcome. A huuuuuuge thank you to my friend Deb Wamser for the donation of cape scraps that work perfectly with my quilt palette. I think Wednesday approves? Hard to tell 😄

The top of my mansion is complete! I’m super jelly of anyone with space for a design wall. I tried the messy floor first and Wednesday decided to inspect. 🐈‍⬛🖤

I got this little pressing roll & clapper thingy and it makes pressing seams open so much easier! Highly recommend this thingy.

Week 2 of the has started! I’m still mostly loving my fabric pull. I used my stripology ruler to cut everything a little faster and ended up with some extra scraps. My su-purr-visor was snoozing on her quilt in my sewing room. Looking forward to seeing how this quilt comes together!

Quilting is life!! In addition to this latest block, I’ve completed a goose, a bag, a Halloween stitch out, a sketch, a Lisa frank inspired plate which will hopefully be prettier once fired, and some other hand stitching projects.

A lot of life happened between the last update and now! We had a wonderful family vacation and since I forgot to pack my purple thread, I got a little bit out of order. I have two more blocks in progress!

Also pictured is a color palette I pulled for an upcoming work project, a super secret quilt project, the most darling little witch hat I made at work, and my hubby having a dole whip from the slushie maker.

2nd of this flower is complete! I had a better time getting things to line up properly and I haven’t taken the time to compare but I suspect that my block on the last block hadn’t been squared up to the correct dimensions, making my center alignment spaced out wider than intended. I’m also including an in progress block from work and the *COOLEST* pants I have now thanks to Urban Threads embroidery and my HV Designer Topaz 65.

Not pictured: I also made progress on a mystery quilt! I will share photos of this one once it’s gifted away.

Next block for the collection! I won’t lie, I definitely “messed up” on this one. I fixed my mistake by making the stem longer, hopefully that doesn’t come back to haunt me down the line. Also featuring some embroidery digitizing practice, an epic pattern I acquired, some machine embroidery I was working on, and my su-purr-visor in her natural habitat - my ironing board.

Still having so much fun with this needle turn appliqué project! I’m using all Moda Fabrics United Notions | Top fabric & notions distributor Bella Solids and Aurifil Thread. Meanwhile, during this block I also taught some cool kids to sew hand puppets, finished an Elvis bag, and had some amazing family time. What a joy!

This block took a little more time to make! Even though I struggled with the placement of the inner petals, I’m happy with the result. One more of this one coming up soon!

I also finished a Strawberry Shortcake Dress, pattern is by Candice Alviz and is modeled by the lovely Pearll💕💐. It was a very fun project to make, especially figuring out how to do the shirring through the waist, that was super satisfying! And I used my projector to cut all the pieces which was soooo much better than printing and taping paper pattern pieces.

We spent the previous weekend with our extended family, visiting Walleye Weekend, painting pottery at The Creative Studio at quiltinglegacies, seeing Masters of the Universe, and all wrapped up with brunch at The Sweet and Salty Pig. Added bonus photo of Miss Ellie Belly for good measure. 🐾

Lastly, I did also start knitting a pair of socks which I have no business starting. Now I have 3 knitting UFOs.
