Witch hat in progress! I was inspired by the artwork by Pascale Marinier. Using Lite Steam-a-Seam 2 adhesive, I drew and cut many leaves, petals, stars, and a moon. It was so fun, just like playing with stickers! The most complicated part of this project so far was making the 1/8” finished bias stems. I couldn’t wait to share the process photos, finished hat coming soon!

I finished the candelabra tonight! It’s coming along nicely, couldn’t wait to get a sneak peek at the finished quilt so I laid it all out on my bed. 😆 more rooms to fill in soon!

Paint Your Pet night at Art Lounge was soooooo much fun! We submitted photos to the studio a week in advance and they did the sketching for us prior to class. Then we enjoyed some delicious cheesecake and filled in the colors.

We also stopped at Evie's Vietnamese Kitchen for dinner before the event. A great evening!

“The cellar” is finished! Would you believe that I’m more of a dog person than a cat person? My cat 🐈‍⬛ has decided I’m her favorite person, though. I’m not kidding, as soon as she hears the machine turn on, she zooms into the room.

This block was a bit more peaceful to make than the Antique Books block but I love the result of both! It was nice to start with the challenge and then have a simpler pattern to follow.

Spent the day sewing! Made some glasses pouches, some wallet/coin pouch thingies, and started a new Atlas Pouch. Hoping I can keep up this momentum to be ready for markets starting soon!

This week’s block in the is Antique Books by ! It was a challenge with lots of tiny pieces and I’m happy it’s done. I guess I might like foundation paper piecing despite everything I’ve ever said about it. 😄

Uncle Albert block is complete for the Forgotten Rooms quiltalong! I might re-do this one with a more contrasting background.

Seeing Stars block is complete on my Forgotten Rooms Quilt! I might be improving at foundation paper piecing since I only needed to use the seam ripper 4 times. 😅

It helped a lot to move my ironing station closer so I could just pivot between cutting and pressing. I also benefited from using a business card to help fold the paper on the line for the next piece before trimming. It helps to get in a groove. I do find it difficult to figure out what angle to place a rectangle. What kind of math do I need to learn for that to make sense???
