Next block complete! I brought it along with me to my son’s 8th grade graduation and it was the perfect little lap project. I couldn’t resist laying everything out for a preview.

Next Blomma block is complete! Also finished up some projects I had sitting around, sorted through some doom piles, and convinced my husband to mount a projector over my sewing table so I can stop assembling paper patterns from pdf files! 🄳

My Cat’s in Pajamas ironing board cover quilt isn’t complete yet, still needs some binding and a bit more quilting on the kitties faces and feet. But she has clearly told me she loves it already.

Andra block is complete! In between stitches for this one, I planted flowers and washed the dogs. My German shepherd Stark was very excited to try to eat the water out of the garden hose and got my finger in the mix. Ouch! Luckily, we had some homemade Dole Whips turning in the slushie maker to drown my sorrows. 🤣

Some takeaways I had on this block: don’t use best press on background pieces after you cut them. They will shrink by about an inch! Additionally, spacing is tricky but it helped to check my basting stitches on the back side of the work to see where I needed to make adjustments.

Second Fƶrsta block is complete! I enjoyed sewing this block but I had better luck when I basted the leaves and needle turned rather than pre-pressing. I also used Best Press to starchify my background fabric; both of these changes helped make the second rendition less lumpy looking than my first.

I spent some time watching WWE on this and pretending was with me šŸ˜„ at least until I got annoyed with it and switched to The Testaments. Today, I made progress while on a FaceTime chat with my momma and while listening to Dungeon Crawler Carl with my son . Moving on to the Andra block!

Progress on my Blomma. Block 1 - Fƶrsta in the darker palette is complete! Loving the slow stitching on this one.

I started a new quilt! This is the Blomma by .and.stars and it is all needle-turned appliquƩ. I chose a warm and juicy color palette which should give great summer vibes to keep me motivated to get this done by fall!

Please also note that my su-purr-visor helps out with hand sewing projects, too. šŸ˜¹šŸˆā€ā¬›šŸŖ”

This weekend I made Curved Flying Geese coffee and drink sleeve! I felt like I needed to head over to for up this Riptide Refresher because it coordinates with my sleeve perfectly. This is a fun and pretty quick project, definitely recommend! Foundation paper piecing always makes for good points and crisp lines, and the pattern comes with sizes for hot cups too!

Look at this adorable jacket!!! I was so excited for this particular jacket to be my first project made on my brand new sewing machine. The machine handled all the binding like a champ and the space I had for quilting was exactly what I’ve been wanting. I also knew this had to be the fabric as soon as it arrived at our local quilt store - such a happy jacket!

Starting my Snow Day project! My little supurrvisor loves to lay on my ironing board. This would be less problematic if she didn’t shed black hair, getting on all my projects.

Solution Phase 1 was to lower my Murphy style ironing board, eliminating the possibility. The stress from this change led her to overgroom - giving her a naked belly!

Phase 2 includes this gifted cat bed from a friend and making a table runner from the Elizabeth Hartman Cats in Pajamas pattern. I’ll use the table runner under the cat bed and remove when I want to work.

Fingers crossed this helps her little belly grow some fur back! I added in a bonus shot of what our view is like out the window. It’s crazy out there! ā„ļøšŸŒØļøā˜ƒļø
