Another missed post from the social media manager😤 honestly what does she even do with her spare time!?😅
If you ever wonder "Why didn't she post my cake? Is she not proud of it?" Worry not my child.. I am simply a forgetful woman who cannot even remember what day it is😌
But I DO remember that this cake was for a smash cake photo session🥹 we love when our cakes are ordered for photography!

Guess who is fired? The social media manager of Mountain Sweets. She keeps forgetting to take photos of the products we create and therefore our page remains quiet. But just as her termination papers were about to be served.. she said "oh wait! I DID take a photo of that one!!"
So we'll give her another chance!!
This is a 6" Standard Marble cake!
Customer said "Fun colors. Sprinkles. Sparkles!"
How did we do!?
Side note- the lighting isn't doing the glitter justice! It sparkles more than Edward Cullen on a sunny day!

Hi everyone!! I am headed back to Maryland from the mountains! I have received multiple order requests and messages and will be getting back to all of them when I get settled back in Maryland!
Enjoy this photo of our new heifer born on Friday! Her name is Maybelle🤍 and she required multiple rides on the ATV due to her mother leaving her behind TWICE during pasture changes🤣 it's her first calf, we'll give her a break.

Our STAR cookie flavor is the S'Mores Cookie! We have sold THOUSANDS of these cookies! Have you tried them yet? You can always place an order of sweets from us, no need for special events.. "Just Because" is sometimes the BEST reason for sweets!

Just some random information about Mountain Sweets!
Operating as a Cottage Bakery
Mountain Sweets is a cottage bakery. This means that we do NOT operate out of a commercial setting, we operate out of a HOME! We sell under the Maryland Cottage Food Laws. These laws state that we cannot offer items that require refrigeration, we cannot offer anything with fresh fruit and our buttercreams/frosting have to be sent out and Lab tested for us to sell. Common desserts that we can't offer are things like: Chocolate covered strawberries, Banana pudding cakes, Tres Leches Cakes, Macarons...and so much more (unfortunately). Keep this in mind when you see other folks offering these things without a commercial kitchen👀
Delivery Service
We offer delivery for ALL of our treats! If you are located IN Nanjemoy, then your delivery will be free. If you are located outside of Nanjemoy, there is a delivery charge. BUT. If I am already going to be in the area I will not charge for delivery. (Why would I charge you when I'm going to be there anyway!?) Example: I go to LaPlata 4-5x a week for the gym. If you meet me at my gym then there's no delivery charge. Same thing if for some reason I will be in Mechanicsville, Waldorf, etc etc.
Wedding Bookings
My FAVORITE bookings. But I am ✨️different✨️. I refuse to charge extra money because the word "wedding" is involved. I remember for my wedding I paid $700 for my cake... WHAT? I thought "would it be the same amount if this was for a birthday?" I got you. Everything on my menu will cost the same if you're ordering for a wedding, baby shower or a birthday.
DESSERT BARS!
I love doing dessert bars. I also love curating your menu! The easiest way to order a dessert bar (for any event) is to tell me 1. How much you want to spend. 2. How many you're wanting to serve. 3. Your must have items AND, 4. Tell me if I am delivering and setting up!
Farmer's Markets/ Vendor Events
They scare me. I won't even lie. Am I baking too much? Am I not baking enough? Will the heat melt my buttercream (again)? I am a highly anxious person and these kinds of events really put me through it!! I love when my customers come out to support and I love gaining new eyes on the business.. but I very rarely sign up for vendor events!! I have one scheduled for June and I'm already stressing🤣😅
Cake By the Slice Day (CBTSD)
In this economy!? Ha! I loved doing this but I had to put a hold on it because I was driving all over the place to deliver the slices! If there was a way to bring you your slices in a more cost effective way.. I would!! It's a work in progress.
