Last night’s storms called us out to check on our animals. The highlight reels don’t show this part of homesteading. But the mud, the worry, the late nights….that’s where the real love for this life lives.

Homemade biscuits and chicken pot pie…never made a homemade biscuit before in my life until about 2 years ago. What I have realized is a lot of the things made from scratch are not “hard” they just require more time. When I have got the time and motivation (a big one here) I do a few things from scratch.
