🍪 Large, No-Chill Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies
Save for the next time you need a quick dough that’s ready to bake right away!
Ingredients
- 1¼ cups light brown sugar, tightly packed
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- ½ cup salted butter, “dent soft”
- ½ cup sourdough starter, stirred down
- 2 large egg yolks
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp salt
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour, scooped from bag
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1⅓ cups chocolate chips�
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet.
2. Cream butter and sugars.
3. Add sourdough starter, egg yolks, vanilla, and salt. Beat until combined.
4. Add flour and baking soda. Stir just until combined (don’t overmix!)
5. Fold in chocolate chips.
6. Scoop into large 3-tbsp portions. Scoops are ready to bake immediately, no chilling needed!
7. Bake for 13–16 minutes. The edges should be set, but the centers should still look soft.
8. Cool on baking sheet for 7 minutes before transferring.
