A little about me!
I have a lot of new followers and just want to re-introduce myself!
My name is actually Haven! I am a 34 year old who has been a stay at home Mom for 10 years now! Before that I was a legal assistant, cocktail waitress, and a student at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs where I also met my person- my husband! We live and operate out of our home now in Mount Pleasant, Michigan where I have a ton of family. We have three children; Our sons are 9 and 7, our daughter is 5! We are an animal Ioving family with 3 dogs, 2 cats and 2 geckos! We love sports, especially golf, board games, traveling, being outdoors, and just being silly! I like to dress up, dress down and tend to thrive in a little bit of chaos!
I started baking and decorating cakes with my daughter over the entrapment the pandemic caused 😂. While baking has always ran in the family….decorating was new! It made us happy, we had fun, and we thought we were pretty good at it! As we shared our creations on social media, personal requests began coming in...... Cake Haven Designs was born!
I am self taught using the wealth of knowledge the internet provides, I loving learning new techniques, enjoying the art of buttercream, and recently have begun using more fondant. I use quality ingredients, already have a stash of secret extracts, ingredients, and methods that I think makes my flavors stand out!
While I am taking as many orders as I possibly can, I do apologize for having a waitlist!! I am learning to create a balance of still being the full time Mom my kids and family need.....and the Cake Artist that brings me self fulfillment- and I take both jobs seriously! I often run a monthly cupcake cupcake special which has admittedly taken a back seat to spring sports, which I hope to have running again mid-end of summer!
