Feeling SO incredibly honored to host an Intro to Sourdough class with this group of PA high schoolers! They were excited, focused, inquisitive, and not to mention just awesome people all around! Y’all are going places!
The students learned the basic science behind naturally leavened bread, the value of whole and local grains, they folded, shaped, scored, and baked their beautiful own loaves! And we may have even started making some bread plans together for the near future…🤩
In a world that feels uncertain and chaotic right now, this was the reminder I needed of why I’m doing what I’m doing. Watching young hands dive into an ancient practice and create something of their own was nothing short of wonderful.
