Hello All,
Tomorrow (Sunday 8/2) we will be doing a Pay What You Can sale for all our scones and breads at our storefront. Come and get whatever you want and pay whatever you can! We will also be at the Paoli farmers market tomorrow from 9am until 1pm, so if you couldn't make it out to the DCFM today, stop by Paoli tomorrow!

Good morning,

We want to inform everyone that our regular storefront hours will be changing from 7:00 AM–5:00 PM to 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, beginning next week (8/5/26).

As a bakery, the majority of our customer traffic occurs in the morning, with a significant slowdown after noon. Adjusting our hours allows us to better align with customer demand and maintain the quality and efficiency you expect from us.

We understand this change may impact those who typically visit after work, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. We will do our best to accommodate our customers whenever possible. We are happy to take special orders and arrange pick-ups after hours if needed, so please feel free to reach out to us through messenger or by phone.

Hello everyone,

All of us at Sugar River Country Bakery would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped us sell so many of the baked goods we prepared for the DCFM this past Saturday. We also had a very busy day at our storefront and were thrilled to see so many of our goodies sold.

We are beyond grateful for this amazing community. Small businesses help make a small town special, and your support means everything to us. We truly appreciate each and every one of you!

We will be heading to Paoli to set up our stand right after we leave the Capital Square! See you there.

As we shared earlier today we mourn with our community. And we agree - business cannot proceed as usual - we are closing the market at 10am tomorrow.

The market will be open with shortened hours as an essential food distribution point to get sustenance into the hands of our community. Farmers will be around the Square from 6:15am-10am. SNAP/EBT and Double Dollars services will be provided 7:00am-9:30am.

Hello everyone,

Due to unexpected circumstances in Madison, the Dane County Farmers’ Market will be closing early today at 10:00 AM. We were notified of this change yesterday afternoon after we had already prepared our full market inventory, so we will have a large quantity of baked goods available.

To help avoid product loss, we will be setting up in Paoli after leaving Capitol Square this morning. You can find us at our storefront and at The Mill in Paoli (around 11am). The storefront will have a limited inventory until we get back from the market so if you would like to visit us at the store, please come after 12 this afternoon!

We would greatly appreciate your support—stop by and grab your favorite treats while they last!

Hello All,
Happy 4th of July! We have a bunch of scones leftover from today's farmers markets and, with us being closed next week, we would like to get rid of as many as possible tomorrow. Please come in and grab as many scones as you can handle and just pay what you can. We will have a bunch in packages, we will also have singles available, and we are just asking for you to pay what you can and take what you want. Nothing needs to go to waste!!!!
We hope you all enjoy your celebrations this evening and don't forget to stop into our storefront between 7am and 2pm tomorrow for delicious scones, they freeze well!

Hello all you flower and cocktail lovers....
We are hosting a Mother's Day Botanicals and Cocktails workshop on May 8th here at the Bakery at 6pm. We do ask that you preorder your tickets so we know how many to plan for but I'm sure we can squeeze you in if you forget. Tickets include a cocktail, a bouquet, and a snack plate for $50.00. We will have Melissa from The Bakery Bar serving delicious cocktails while Abbea from Bee Havens Flower Farm teaches us how to make the most beautiful bouquets!
