🍌 Bananas Foster Cinnamon Rolls: Because Why Not?
I had a serious craving for cinnamon rolls recently, but I wanted to shake things up with intense banana flavor and an adult kick. Then it hit me: what if I combined my cinnamon roll recipe with the bananas foster I had on vacation years ago?
So I got to work:

✨ Removed 1/4 of the sugar from my base recipe
✨ Added 3 mashed, ripe bananas
✨ Mixed in 2 shots of rum
✨ Added rum to my heavy cream soak for extra indulgence

The bananas and rum made the dough more liquid than usual, so I had to chill it thoroughly before rolling and cutting. But the result? Absolutely worth it. Rich banana flavor, subtle rum warmth, and all that ooey-gooey cinnamon roll goodness.
Now I'm thinking about other seasonal variations—pumpkin spice for fall, peppermint for winter, strawberry for spring...

FRYING ADVENTURES: Banana Croquettes
Discovered and her amazing work preserving lost Black American recipes. Had to try her banana croquettes!
The process:
- Waited 5 days for perfectly overripe bananas
- Mixed with vanilla wafers, eggs, sugar & cinnamon
- Fried to golden brown perfection
- Dusted with powdered sugar
They came out darker than the video (thanks, super ripe bananas!) but WOW - absolutely incredible.
Next up: berry dumplings & recreating the pecan chewies from my family reunions 👀

Mythicon Adventure: A Valentine's Vending Story 💜
I just wrapped up my biggest vending event yet at Mythicon, and WOW, what a journey!
After working a full day as a DevOps engineer, I baked until 4 AM to prepare hundreds of cookies, including vegan and gluten-free heart-shaped thumbprint cookies (apple and four berry flavors). Day One? Sold out of four berry completely. Day Two? Woke up at 4 AM again, drove an hour to bake more, and invented a Great British Baking Show-inspired cooling hack involving ice cube trays and furious fanning. Day Three? Sold out EVERYTHING with 2 hours to go!
The highlight wasn't just the sales—it was seeing everyone's reactions, going on stage with Supaman, and connecting with amazing fellow vendors like Renee and Craig from Golden Rose Cakery.
This Fae-mily has my heart. Can't wait for the next adventure!

It's day 2 of Mythicon and Valentine's Day! Yesterday we arrived with our tasty treats, and the amount of love for the four berry thumbprint cookies was immense! So much so, that we're just about sold out!

As a result, I rushed back to the kitchen to whip up some more for today's market - I might show up a little after the 10 AM opening time, but my wonderful second half will be at the booth, so say hi (and have a cookie)!

We're in the final countdown for Mythicon, which means that I'll be burning the midnight oil baking all kinds of delectable desserts to feed the masses over this magical weekend! Get your taste buds ready for the following delights, starting with the megabyte line, which are huge, soft treats that are crispy on the outside:

After receiving an acceptance for Mythicon, now I've got the hard work to do - developing a new recipe! After my time baking for Goblyncon and the Olney Farmer's Market, it's obvious that there is a market for people that have dietary restrictions, and since Mythicon is on V-Day Weekend, I need something that everyone can enjoy! Here's my rough sketch of what I'm working on, stay tuned for testing!
