Get ready for the season ahead with a ride designed to help horses and riders build fitness, practice riding in company, and travel at approximately the pace of the field they plan to hunt with. A jumping first field, non-jumping second field, and slow third field will be offered, followed by a potluck tailgate.

What a wonderful evening with the Potomac Hunt Club community! Our Hound Walk Happy Hour brought together so many members, new friends, families, and—of course—our wonderful hounds for a relaxed evening of good company and beautiful weather.

With a generous tailgate spread before and after the walk, nobody went home hungry! Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a fun gathering.

𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀: 2600 Smith Station Road, Hanover, PA 17331

**IMPORTANT PARKING NOTE:** For the most accurate directions to the horse trailer parking lot, use these coordinates: 39.79094° N, 76.89168° W

From the park entrance at 2600 Smith Station Road, continue past the entrance on Blooming Grove Road for approximately 2.1 miles. Turn left onto Sinsheim Road, then travel 0.6 mile and turn left onto Codorus State Park Road toward the horse trailer parking lot.

The ride will be approximately 75–90 minutes and will follow shaded trails along Lake Marburg, with the option to cool off in the water at the end! We will ride as one group at the walk and trot.

Please arrive with enough time to be mounted and ready to ride by 9:50 AM. A potluck tailgate will follow the ride.

Feel free to invite guests and friends! Members and juniors ride free, and guests are $30 per person.

A reminder that our next Potomac Hunt trail ride will be SUNDAY at McKee-Beshers WMA. The ride will move off at 10:00 AM, so please plan to be mounted and ready to go by 9:50 AM. There will be groups for all levels!

Parking will be at the lot near the intersection of River Road and Hughes Road / Hunting Quarter Road. Trailers should turn onto Hunting Quarter Road at this intersection, where there is a large lot to turn around. Please park along either side of the gravel road on Hunting Quarter Road, facing back toward River Road.

When parking, please pull as far into the grass as possible so rigs can park on both sides and still allow others to pass. Overflow parking will be in the large lot used for turning around. Please park tightly and face outward.

As always, helmets are required, and guests are very welcome. Members and juniors free, guests $30. Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions.

💥 POSTPONED - Full Moon Ride 💥

Due to tomorrow's forecast, the special Full Moon Ride will be rescheduled.

In the meantime, we have a fun alternative planned for this weekend! Instead of riding tomorrow evening, we will be exploring the newly opened trails at 𝗥𝗼𝘆𝗰𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 on 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝟭𝟬:𝟬𝟬𝗔𝗠.

This ride will be one group and ridden at the walk and trot.
