The years have gone by and here we are, celebrating our 8th anniversary 🥳 It's been a long time since we posted an anniversary post or baked blueberry muffins. I couldn't even find the original recipe but this one turned out great. Freshly picked blueberries by yours truly last weekend and my little helpers, I insisted on the biggest ones and they came through (thru?). I bet my kid is cringing right now 🤣

2.28.2028 - Words can't express how exciting it was to be a cake sponsor at the 100th birthday party! Especially among all the other talented and well-known San Diego bakers. I was so inspired by the creativity in flavors and cake decor. I almost didn't do this, but my daughter said "Mom, when are you going to be a part of a 100 anything?" She had a point. It was a lot of baking and a lot of work, but it was SO WORTH IT. Thank you for this amazing opportunity and happy centennial 🥳

First 😊 happy 2026 everyone 🥳
Second, on a personal note, our holiday trip to the Philippines 🇵🇭 was an adventure and in many ways, transformative for me. I’ve been more inspired to cook more Filipino dishes and desserts with a healthier twist (more veggies/gulay 🥬, less refined sugar and dairy). Yes it was hot and humid, but it was also exciting and grounding to be in the country where my family originated from.
Third, I’ve been pondering about how to make our award winning adobo chocolate chip cookie paleo. The first step was swapping out the soy sauce and all purpose flour for coconut aminos and almond/coconut flour. We’re not quite there yet but here is our grain free adobo chocolate chip cookie. Available this month and also at the 100th Birthday Cake Party on Feb. 28 ❤️
