Okay, Smallcakes friends and fans...I have a sweet challenge for you! We have over 200 "likes" on our page (thank you!!), but we want to continue to share the news and get the word out about this great franchise coming to MN. It's time to share some BIG news with all of you. I've been working behind the scenes (and in secret) for the past couple months. And now, I am beyond thrilled to announce that I am bringing the Smallcakes franchise to MINNESOTA! This company was founded by Jeff Martin (3-time 'Cupcake Wars' contestant on the Food Network) and offers delicious gourmet cupcakes (made fresh daily) and amazing homemade cupcake-infused ice creams. Jeff is one of the coolest people I've every met and is super excited for me to start baking for y'all! I've secured a prime location in Apple Valley for my store and hope to be open by early November. I would not have had the courage to take this giant step without the support and love from all of you. YOU have prepared me for THIS moment in my life. I am FINALLY doing something I love. And, it's just flippin' awesome! Be sure to "like" my new business page, Smallcakes Minnesota, and stay tuned for construction updates and pre-opening specials!

When I first saw the new thin Oreos, I thought, "why bother, Nabisco?" But then I thought they'd make a great bottom layer for some candy bark. Easy and delicious!

I'm trying to find different ways to use up all my rhubarb...these are rhubarb oatmeal cookies...a recipe from Pinterest (with a couple tweeks). They are super soft and full of flavor. We're eating them right out of the freezer!

A girlfriend told me about these (from Pinterest), so I had to give them a try for myself. I made these for our 4th of July celebration, so I hollowed out strawberries and dipped them in blue-tinted white chocolate and dark chocolate, then filled them with a homemade cheesecake and sprinkled them with graham cracker crumbs. So much flavor and different textures in a one-bite dessert....Yum!
