Three years ago this weekend…I opened my little bakery with zero expectations, two dozen chocolate covered Oreos, a few sticky buns, and some cookies on a platter. We looked like a total joke that first day 😭😂 somehow, y’all showed up and never stopped. Thank you to everyone who’s supported us from day one, discovered us later on, or stuck with me through every rebrand, menu flip, and chaotic sprinkle storm in between. You made this dream real.
Now that I’ve closed the storefront, I know there have been rumors about why. (No, I’m not pregnant, and no, I didn’t “crash and burn” 🤣.) The truth? I moved back to PA in 2022 to be close to my family. My Gram and Great Aunt were declining in health, and I wanted to be here for my sister’s graduation. Three months later I somehow bought a bakery (definitely not on my 2022 bingo card 🤪). But those family chapters have now closed- I had to say goodbye to two important people in my life, my lease is ending, and my heart is pulling me another way to start the next chapter with my husband, Zac (who, bless his soul, didn’t just marry me…he unknowingly married a bakery ☠️)
Yes, we were successful. Yes, I still love this work. I’ve been baking since I was four, and professionally since eighteen and that part of me isn’t going anywhere. This is simply the end of one beautiful chapter so a new one can begin. I want nothing more than to see a bakery continue here in Milton, which is why the sale includes my recipes, systems, and everything that made Baked by Brina/Baddie Cakes what it was. It will be up to the new owners of what they want to do.
Please do not unfollow this page…this page will eventually transfer to the new owner so you can keep supporting local sweetness right here AND be one of the first to know what’s happening! I’ve met some incredible people and have been part of so many milestones in you and your families lives. If you’d like to stay connected personally, feel free to add me on my personal page Sabrina 💗 Thank you for three incredible years, I’m incredibly thankfull y’all have been part of my story.
