On Wednesdays, we practice.

We relax.
Meditate.
Practice mindfulness.
Move gently.
Stretch softly.
Breathe.
Be still.
Unplug.

For one hour each week, we set aside the pressure to do more and instead practice simply being. There is no need to make it complicated. Turning off your phone and sitting with yourself for 60 minutes can be a powerful challenge.

Like any practice, it becomes more natural with time.

At the end of most classes, we visualize leaving the room and stepping back into our week.
Maybe there’s something challenging ahead.
Maybe there’s a difficult conversation, a busy schedule, or a long to do list waiting.

And as we picture it all, we breathe.
We let go of tension we’re holding in our bodies.
We imagine moving at a pace that doesn’t need to speed up.
We create pauses between transitions.

That is yoga.
