A bittersweet announcement: I will be closing down this page and no longer be selling sourdough!

It has been an amazing year and I am so grateful to each and every one of you for supporting me. It has truely been a tremendous year of selling goodies and doing markets and has provided my family in more ways than I ever thought possible.

I started this as a mom desparate for any kind of outlet but stuck at home while my husband was gone for 16 weeks at the police academy. Baking and selling sourdough got me through him being gone, the transition to night shift, the holidays navigating his schedule, and so much more. This community has been amazing, but the needs of my family and demands of my new job are greater now, and committing the time to those things plus baking is starting to take a toll (mainly a lack of sleep).

Now, just because I won’t sell it, doesn’t mean I won’t share it! Family and friends please fully expect to receive it as gifts and for me to bring it as my contribution to every get together ❤️

I was making some bagels for one of my awesome regulars and the kids bribed me for some bagel bites! They promised me they would go to bed easily, I was scammed! 😂 But at least I got some breakfast out of it too!

Due to some unforeseen circumstances with the other vendors, we are the only ones set up this morning. But that’s ok! I brought the chaos with me as my helpers!!! Come see us and get some goodies from now until 12 (or sold out)!

Market prep has started! It may not look like much now but by tomorrow morning, these 4 tubs will turn into 20 loaves of bread!

I often get asked the difference between a classic loaf and sandwich bread, an order this morning made was perfect for a little explanation.

The loaf on the left is classic sourdough. The only ingredients are water, flour, and salt. The crust is crunchier and the bread has that traditional sourdough texture that we all know and love!

The loaf on the right is sandwich bread. The ingredients in that one are water, flour, butter, sugar, and salt. This is a loaf that resembles what you would get in the grocery store. The butter and sugar make it soft and delicious!
