It’s that time again! Milford Pumpkin 🎃 Festival is this weekend, and we will be there selling cupcakes on Friday, Oct. 11th from about 5:00-9:00 pm and Saturday, Oct. 12th from about noon until we sell out! (which was about 4:00 pm last year). We will have over 20 delicious flavors, and we will be there rain or shine! Thank you, as always, to Kevin & Sally Stephens at the Union Street Grill for sharing their space with us. If you haven’t tried their hollandaise sauce, you really should - it’s the best!

Just as an update, Brad and I are still not doing cakes at the moment. Although it makes us sad not to be a part of our customers’ lives, this has been the best decision for us and our kiddos over the past year.

That said, we WILL be at the Milford Pumpkin Festival, as it is a tradition we can’t seem to let go of... hope to see you there!

Good morning friends!

As many of you know, we have taken a hiatus from most cakes and cupcake orders over the last school year. We have been trying to decide if this was the right decision for our family to make permanently, in correlation with juggling our full-time careers, and more importantly, our full-time kiddos. We have come to the conclusion that this is the right decision for us at this time, and so other than the Milford Pumpkin Festival in October, we will be closing our doors, at least for now. There are many things about this decision that make us sad, including no longer being able to create some really unique and awesome cakes and cupcakes for you! But the saddest part is losing the ability to interact with our customers, who often become our friends. We wish you all the best as you continue on your journey of life, and hope that we will have the pleasure of bumping into you from time to time. By the way, for those with outstanding orders (ie. summer wedding cakes 😌) of course we will be fulfilling those orders!

Thanks to all of you for your support over the last decade!

Thanks for all your support at the Pumpkin Festival, friends! We sold out by about 5:00 pm on Saturday, and we are sorry if we missed you this year. Hope to see you all next year, which will be year 9 for us!

In other news, we have told some but have not made it official until now. Brad and I are going to be taking a break from cakes for the next little while, so that we can concentrate more on our family, careers, and each other. This is definitely not goodbye, but just see ya in a while, as we try to de-stress for a bit. We love our awesome customers and can't thank you enough for all your support!

Okay, so it's been about a billion years since I've posted pics of cakes, and I'm going to try to post some more later today, but I just HAD to put this on here for your viewing pleasure! So we were asked to make a cake for an artist for her birthday, and I asked my daughter, Ana, if she could try to paint a little painting on a piece of fondant with some food coloring. She started with Starry Night and about an hour and four more mini paintings later, we had this! Our customer practically had to pry this one out of my hands! Thanks to Brad of course, too, for making the adorable palette and brush!

Good morning friends! Those of you who know me, may know that technology is not my strong suit nor my passion, hence my aversion to updating my page with new pics and my website to boot! I don't pay as much attention to it as I should, unfortunately, but had a client contact me yesterday and tell me that she could not get to my website. I went to check out the issue, and googled MillTown Cakes. I was surprised to see that we had one google review, and it was a negative one from a potential customer who never even ordered a cake from me! Because of this, I come up as a 1-star establishment, which for those of you who know our cakes, know that this is not the case! So I'm asking a big favor from you today. If you get the chance, could you please write a review on Google about your experience with our cakes and cupcakes? I would appreciate it so much. MillTown Cakes was invited to participate in Clash of the Cupcakes this past weekend at the Derryfield Country Club in Manchester. I had called the woman back who had called me, to tell her that we were just too busy. Then I started asking questions about the competition, and decided it sounded too fun to pass up! So we went, and were glad we did, as our S'mores cupcakes won the People's Choice Award! Thanks to all our friends and family who supported us in this event!

Just wanted to let you all know that Brad and I will be competing in "Clash of the Cupcakes" this Friday night at the Derryfield Restaurant in Manchester, NH. The event is a fundraiser, and we will be competing against 7 other local bakeries, to see who can do the best job of decorating 75 cupcakes in 30 minutes or less. Would love to have you join us! The entrance ticket costs $15, which includes some hors-d'oeuvres, as well as a couple of cupcakes to take home. Would love to have you there, routing us on! =)

Our 4th year at the Milford Pumpkin Festival was once again a huge success! We sold out of our 200 cake pops pretty quickly (will make more next year =) and almost sold all of the 1000 or so cupcakes we made, including selling out of our gluten-free chocolate fudge (more of those to come next year too!) Thank you to all of our customers and friends, and for all of your wonderful feedback and supportive comments. It was a crazy weekend - many, many hours of hard work, but also lots of fun! I hope you and your family are doing well? We are doing great here. I wanted to check with you first before I searched elsewhere. Are you still making and selling cupcakes? I remember reading that you were stopping but I wasn't sure if you started back up again. Cassie is graduating and we wanted to do cupcakes for her party in August.
