Today is Purple Thursday, and I’d like to take a quick second to remind you that TMM is still running their month-long fundraiser til November 1st, including a collection box for hygiene products at both the 307 market on Saturday and the TMM Cake Social on Oct 24.
Any little helps, even just resharing the message.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and while October gives us a reason to talk about domestic violence a little louder, this is not something that should disappear again when November rolls around.
Domestic violence affects women, children and families in every community, including right here in the Permian Basin. There are people living through it, people trying to leave it, children growing up around it, and people doing the incredibly difficult work of helping them find safety.
This year, I will be bringing back out fundraiser with proceeds benefiting Safe Place of the Permian Basin and the incredible work that they do here in West TX.
Before I get into the details of it, I want to make sure people know where help is.

Please save these numbers, share them, send this post to someone who may need it.
You never know who is quietly looking for a way out, or who may need the information for someone they love.
And this leads me back to our fundraiser - Until Nov 1st, and potentially beyond, I'll have two purple fundraiser treats available at markets and pop-ups with a portion of the proceeds from both being donated to Safe Place of the Permian Basin.

I'll also be bringing back 'Donate a Dozen,' giving you the option to purchase a box of cookies to be delivered to the Safe Place staff and volunteers, because the people doing this work absolutely deserve love and support too.
I have and will always come to the aid of women and children when I can, and when there are organisations doing the hardest work of helping people find safety, my businesses will answer the call to support their mission, however we can.
So please, and I know the economy is not making things easy, but if you can consider donating in the fundraiser, but if that is just something that isn't possible, share the resources, share this post, learn the numbers and check in on someone you love.
Showing up doesn't always have to cost you anything.
