Book Boyfriend Bash… What the actual hell 😮💨🖤
I went into this weekend excited, wildly over-prepared, slightly terrified, and approximately 17 seconds away from convincing myself I had made a terrible business decision, and then you guys showed up.
I got to meet authors whose books I’ve read on repeat, narrators whose voices I’ve listened to for approximately an unhealthy amount of time while baking, fellow vendors, readers, and so many genuinely lovely people who stopped by my little corner of the Horseshoe.
I watched an objectively unreasonable amount of baked goods disappear, finally had the full TMM coffee syrup lineup, got compliments that I’m still not entirely emotionally equipped to process, and then there were the numbers.
Completely groundbreaking.
Four-figure event weekends are apparently something I get to say I’ve had now, which feels mildly ridiculous considering this whole thing started with me baking cookies in my kitchen, but honestly, the sales are only part of what made this weekend so damn special.
It was the lovely human who came back to tell me my apple cider donut was the best donut she’d ever had, it was people discovering TMM for the first time, it was the conversations, the compliments, the encouragement, and getting to watch something I built from scratch become a little corner of the bookish community.
Of course, I absolutely could not have done it without the incredible group of women who stood beside me all weekend. The ladies who packed, hauled, set up, sold, restocked, answered questions, kept me fed and hydrated, and generally prevented me from completely losing the plot. I love you dearly, and I genuinely could not have pulled this off without you.
So, bookboyfriendbashusa …
Thank you for being one hell of a weekend.
I came in wondering if TMM was ready for something this big. Turns out, she was 🖤
