We’re putting the finishing touches on our European holiday cookies. If you’re looking for last minute unique handmade gifts for under $20 then we have something for you! Featured here is a Hungarian Soft Gingerbread  in the shape of the “Heidelberg heart”.  Most of our beautiful molds are reproductions of centuries old hand carved cookie wooden molds —- originals which can be found in museums in Europe and  north America. We will be at Freedom Food Farm tomorrow at 10 AM and we hope to see you there! If I get a chance I will post more photos. Updated- Nutcracker and Heidelberg Santa. Each of these hand carved molds is 12 inches tall! This last addition is not made from a carved wooden mold, but from a reproduction metal mold, found in an 18th-century Williamsburg, Virginia bakery. How cool is that!

Pies! Pies! It’s that time of year again! Hard to believe that next week is already November. 😮 Attached is our Thanksgiving pie pre-order form. Kindly send your order by email or print out and bring to Freedom Food Farm on Saturdays from 10 to 2 pm. We will also have order forms available on Saturdays. We will be located inside the farm store now. Once you place an order you will receive an email confirmation and the invoice from Square. Hot Bread starting at 10:30 am Wednesday thru Friday and Sat/Sunday starting at 10 am while it lasts. i will post which breads we will have in the morning. Lunch items, sandwiches, soup & chili with sourdough cornbread is also available this week for eat-in or take out. Thank you for all the good wishes and hope to see you soon! Our soft opening month continues this week, closed Monday & Tuesday for sourdough fermenting & rising, open Wed-Friday 10:30 am -4 PM, Sat/Sun 10 am-4 pm

The oven has reached 900 degrees as the last flames burn out. Soon the embers will be raked to cover the floor of the oven. Then the oven will equilibrate for at least 8 hours before we start to bake.
